Thin endometrial lining - possible explanation of chemicals????

Hi so I have had two chemical pregnancy’s in the past year one in July (our first month TTC) and one end of November.
I went to the GP who said they couldn’t do anything until a third one had happened. My cycle has been irregular since the first chemical and I was on the combined pill for 3 years before stopping a year and a half ago.
I have been for a TV ultrasound privately I’m now on day 20 of a normally 42 ish cycle, everything is perfect except my lining is at 4.6mm in the proliferative phase. Is this really too thin at this stage, the sonographer reckons I’ll ovulate next week but didn’t mention anything about the thin lining. Please can you advise what can I do? Anything I can take or ask GP for I’m really struggling and hoping we can have a sticky baby before our wedding (may 2025). Am I just overthinking or am I onto something! Thank you sorry for the longgggggg post 🤍

Hi sorry to hear about your losses. Hopefully i can help regarding your lining. I looked into this EXTENSIVELY when TTC, i was obsessed. Read a lot of research articles and asked alot of questions. I found it really hard to get any doctors who were knowledgeable or willing to discuss in detail so that's why i took it upon myself to research.
It was a while ago though now so I'm not as clued up as a i was but this is my take on it:
Basically in the early stage of your cycle, don't worry about your lining at all. It's supposed to be thin then. Your period is literally the shedding of your lining. It then remains thin until you have a surge of estrogen just before ovulation. It can build up very quickly, a matters of 2-3 days around ovulation. It will be thin before then and that is healthy and normal. If you want to check on your lining (to make sure it is getting thick enough to support a pregnancy) then you should go for a scan post ovulation and check then. Around a week post ovulation would be perfect

Hi sorry for the late reply, I’ve been busy all day! Thank you so much for replying!!!
so if I were to ovulate early next week would the estrogen surge not have happened yet and is that why my lining is still pretty thin-ish? Would you say that’s normal for now? It’s so hard since my cycles have been longer to actually know how far in I am obviously CD20 to some people is a week past ovulation but I’m still waiting, I think I just assumed that as it’s been longer it should’ve been thicker.
I was under the impression that before ovulation it would have to be over 6mm for a successful implantation, so do I still have time for it to reach that before I ovulate?
sorry for all the questions, just desperate to make this one stick :) Thank you so much again for replying really calmed me down :)

I had this but you really need to be scanned around 5dpo to see what your lining is doing then.

In my case I just happened to be in for the results of my hysteroscope and mentioned I was having a chemical. The consultant scanned me and my lining was too thin. My fertility consultant then put me on oestrogen and aspirin from 1 dpo, progesterone from 3 dpo for subsequent cycles and I never had lining issues again.

Hi

This is reassuring to read.

It so difficult to find reassuring and positive article when it comes to thin lining.
