Hello everyone!
this is my first post so I’m not too sure if this will reach anyone! I’m just wondering if someone could help me interpret my OPK results. For the last two days I have had a flashing smiley on my clearblue. Today I got a solid smiley on two clearblue tests but 4 negatives on easy@home. I then took another clearblue test (the bottom one) and it was just a flashing smiley! I am so confused as this has never happened to me before! I also noticed on both of my positive clear blue tests, the dye was all smudged so I don’t know if the two positive tests are false positives and could be faulty tests? I have never had an issue with clearblue before. I always find my peak with them and I also always find my peak on the easy@home ones. All tests were dipped in the same pee on a 4 hour hold. Any advice would be appreciated! Has this happened to anyone else before?
We are ttc our first baby after a MMC at 9 weeks in august so we are desperate for our rainbow.🌈❤️

I dont know how the clear blue ones work but I just wanted to comment and wish you well. Sorry I can’t be anymore help. I use thé much simpler ones myself

Clearblue shows the rise not the top peak so the static smiley will come usually a day or so before standard opks show your peak. It's why the 6 "fertile days" identified include the day after the static smiley as you usually ovulate 36-48hrs after the static smiley. They are designed so that when you get the static smiley you stop testing. Any tests after you get the static are unreliable I'm afraid.

@Roseamy00 how many clear blue digital devices are you doing each day?? If you are using multiple or 3 then you would need to be using all 3 every day as it takes reads & compares to the previous days. I can’t say which is at fault out of the clear blue & wasy@home but just wanted to correct some information that was given…
The CB digitals detect 2 hormones, estrogen and LH. When it detects a rise in your level of estrogen it displays High Fertility (flashing smiley face), and will continue to display High Fertility in the following days whilst it looks for your LH surge. When your LH surge is detected, the test displays Peak Fertility (static smiley face), you will then ovulate 12-36 hours after depending on how early you caught your peak, usually the next day which can be confirmed with BBT.

@4LeafCloverBaby sorry if I wasn't clear - I fully understand that it tracks 2 hormones. I meant the static smiley face comes up earlier than peak LH, it shows when there's a significant LH rise (I know this because I've been tracking my hormones using Mira too and I only actually peak LH around a day after I get the static smiley on clearblue).

You can’t have multiple tests units on the go with clear blue. You need to stick to one test unit and they have to be used at the same time every day. It looks for a surge as well as a high level of hormones. It compares your level to whatever the level was the previous time you tested. You can also throw them out by testing more than once a day. If you tested in the morning, then the afternoon and then in the morning again, it might not pick up your surge because you’ve changed your baseline by testing twice a day.

@Roseamy00 the static is meant to show at the start of your peak & you ovulate 12-36 hours after so that’s right…it is coming up at the start of your 2 day peak & then you ovulate the next day? Sorry if I’m missing something?
