5dpo and a low, heavy feeling. Is this just progesterone?

I know at 5dpo the embryo (if there is one!) is only just becoming a blastocyst. It hasn’t implanted and there is no HCG. So I am not for one second wondering whether this sensation is anything to do with implantation as such!

Instead I am just wondering what it is and what causes it? It’s a low, heavy feeling as though my period is about to come on. It’s steady, it’s not in waves. Just wondering what on earth it is? Is it just a symptom of rising progesterone, like sore boobs?

I don't know tbh. In all honesty when I was pregnant I didn't start getting any symptoms whatsoever until my period was two weeks late (though I knew I was Pg early as tested at 12dpo).

One early sign for me was that I had zero PMS.

Human body is complex and unpredictable machine. Even a fertility expert would struggle to definitively confirm what is causing the sensation you're experiencing.

Good luck with rest of 2ww.

I get a heavy feeling and very bloated after I ovulate and I'm still waiting for my BFP.

It'll be the hormones, but I hope you get your BFP soon!

Ah thanks for letting me know. It’s there again today which is most odd. However, theirs is no sign of the holy grail of ‘pulling or tugging’ so I guess this month is not our month.

Not everyone gets the tugging feeling, and that is normally during implantation.

It's not over until AF shows up!
