How early is too early?

Me and my boyfriend have been ttc for just over 2.5 years, I’m now what would be maybe 7dpo based off of my temp.

Early this morning I had very dull twitches on the left side of the pelvic area and throughout the day they’ve pretty much moved to the middle, they’re still very dull.

I’ve also had craaaazy heartburn/indigestion since yesterday morning which I never get.

Ver confusing for me as my pre period symptoms are the same every month, intense cramping and migraines for 3/4 days before.

Surely 7dpo would be too early for any sort of symptoms. I’m just interested in others opinions on this and if anyone had similar this early and turned out to be pregnant?

Thank you in advance!x

Hey lovely!

So 7dpo could be implantation time for you - do you know how long your luteal phase is? I would wait two days then test at 9dpo! Fingers crossed!

@WiltshireMama Thank you for replying!

My luteal phase is 11/12 days, according to my tracker I’m af is due Wednesday, I’m just very impatient and I don’t want to get my hopes up obviously as we’ve been trying for so long and I’ve gotten my hopes up way too many times😂x

Of course! Mine is 11 days too... so 7/8 would be implantation time! I remember how hard the waiting is - update me won't you! I have got positives on 9dpo so maybe test Monday on a sensitive cheapie! I have a daughter (almost 6) and a son (almost 2.5) after six miscarriages in between and I'm so excited for you for your first! Enjoy every moment! x

I will definitely update!

It’s hard not to get my hopes up when we want it so bad but hopefully we may get lucky this month!x

Leading up to your progesterone levels rise and peak, provoking a lot of the symptoms people tend to associate with early pregnancy (nausea, tender boobs, cramping etc). Progesterone remains elevated when you're pregnant as your period doesn't start.

This is why you'll hear some women claim they had all the symptoms before their periods start, and some claim they had absolutely zero symptoms before finding out they were pregnant.

Implantation can occur anytime between 6-12DPO, following there's some time before HCG builds up in your body's system. 12DPO onwards is best time to test.

@Outliers Thank you, I completely get that.

The main reason for this was that these are things I’ve never had leading up to a period, my symptoms of intense cramps and migraines have been the same every month for as long as I can remember, I’ve never had these two symptoms ever.

Okay I see. Well imo - 7DPO too early for symptoms, they really hit around the 6 week mark.

But everyone is different, some will say otherwise that they knew from early. In any case, the only early confirmation is a positive hcg test.

Have you done a test lovely?
