Hi All

Please could you help me make a decision on which brand to go with, when buying Myo Inositol, theres so much choice and it's not exactly cheap. Any feedback is greatly appreciated🙏

Please could you share:

  1. which Myo Inositol brand you used
  2. In your opinion, did it help when TTC
  3. How long did you use (after BFP)

Thank you so much 💖

I was recommended inofolic alpha (by the consultant gynaecologist I saw privately). The back of the box says it’s more effective than other forms of myo inositol, don’t know if that’s true but I got pregnant on it much quicker than with my first pregnancy x

I took different brands, inofolic alpha, zita west and viridian.
None of them helped me conceive.
It's just a vitamin (b8) , not a miracle worker. It can help support your body. it's touted that it can helped regulate blood glucose thus can help restore menstrual regularity in those will insulin resistance pcos. It didn't for me. I took it for around 2 years and had mine checked via blood numerous times and in the end was prescribed metformin and clomid. None of those worked for me and I'm currently pregnant via ivf

I wanted to add , it's worth a shot but if your taking it and you still haven't conceived in a reasonable amount of time id move on and have tests done. I wouldn't commit to it long term in the hope of it being a miracle worker. I was part of a group of women on here who werent ovulating and it didn't help regulate or help any of those women get pregnant either so just keep in mind there's lots of options out there that can help. I wasted years and years of my fertility on supplements and really wish I hadn't. Some will have got pregnant regardless of taking supplements or not and others won't and need help . How long have you been trying at this stage

@graceinc22 nc22 thank you for sharing, very helpful x

@MoonIightDreamer r thank you for sharing, also very helpful advice. And congratulations on the good news🎉.

Is there a way to find out if I have insulin resistance PCOS? I've been taking preconception tablets for 3 months now, vit d, b12 and 500mg metformin for one week (diagnosed PCOS). Considering adding myo inositol but only for 3months, to see what difference it makes, if any. Even 3months is quite expensive (infolic £90).

We've been trying since July, visited GP last week who refused to make referral to fertility clinic as need to try atleast 6months. GP also advised that fertility clinics will only offer help if BMI is within normal range and mine's on the higher side (38), so I have started intermittent fasting and low carb diet after reading success stories on here. It's only been a week (started Metformin same time), but looking forward to the results.

Honestly thought, fine cycles are abit long but somewhat regular so will take a couple of cycles to fall pregnant. However wasn't prepared for cycles to go as long as 75 days.

I know it's still relatively early and that there are options later. I'm trying not to worry and stay focused- really counting on the weight loss, but also want to cover myself by taking the right supplements.
