Hello All

I'm new to this mumsnet. Very excited and nervous about this new chapter! Husband and I have finally taken the courage to start trying for a baby and we want to do everything we can to increase our chances of having our bundle of joy!

I'm 34 diagnosed with PCOS. Usual cycles are 37- 40days. We've been taking preconception multivitamins for a couple of months now, and this month Ive been tracking my BBT and CM to workout when fertile wondow, but I've not been able to see any patterns BBT is all over the place and my current cycle has reached 70days so not sure if I've even ovulated! I haven't had a cycle this long for many years now so not sure if its stress related or body recovering from 2 bad colds/flu I've had since last cycle 2 months ago.

Discussed concerns with GP, who reluctantly prescribed metformin but no other medication to help ovulate. Therefore have decided to see what's out there.

From reading many posts I've come across:
1.Ovasitol

  1. Infolic alpha
  2. Myo inositol (which seems to be in the supplements above?)

All of these seemed to be really effective on regulating periods and ovulation. I would like to give it a go but not sure which one I should try and where to buy, any recommendations are much appreciated 🙏

Sounds like you're on your way tbh

Besides everything you already said, I found coq10 really made a difference in my journey. DH took it too. Best of luck!

Look up Agnus Castus too which helps regulate periods and hormones

Inofolic Alpha didn’t help me but it does claim to have good success rates. You’ll also need vitamin D if you don’t already take it.
I was under the fertility clinic for PCOS and not ovulating and they recommended NAC supplements also.
For me the only thing that got me pregnant was letrozole which was prescribed by the clinic rather than GP. I tried metformin and supplements but it still didn’t make me ovulate regularly.
I now have two gorgeous children though so it was all worth it.

Thank you for replying. My vit D is actually low so will be adding that on also :)

Agnus cactus and coq10, where can I buy this? Alot of people seem to buy from Amazon/Ebay, are those exactly same as buying from their website, or from somewhere like H&Bs. Thank you x
