Day 21 - low progesterone?

Hi, I have had Day 21 test results back and would be grateful for any help interpreting the results. I am going to call the GP tomorrow but in the meantime...

My progesterone is 14.8 nmol/l. It says normal range is 11-81 but I have read on here that 30 is needed to confirm ovulation.

I had a positive OPK 8 days before the test.

I had a miscarriage early this year and it took a while to get pregnant that time around. I am worried that the low progesterone is the reason for both the miscarriage and not getting pregnant quickly. I am also really worried that as the result is within 'normal' range the GP will brush it off 🙁

Does anyone have any advice/ experience?

Thank you in advance xx

Hello

That is a low progesterone result unfortunately. Mine is very low too, and I had positive OPKs but wasn't ovulating.

I've had recurring miscarriages and it's highly likely they were caused by low progesterone (I have low estrogen too).

It is easy to correct though, speak to your GP about referring you for fertility treatment.

@JuniperandI thank you so much for replying and I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriages :(

I will speak to the GP - what kind of treatment would likely help? GP has been good so far but I still worry about being brushed off

P.s. @JuniperandI was it the low progesterone which showed that you weren't ovulating?

Sorry for all the questions.

No problem, ask away! I know test results can be confusing and jarring at times.

Yes, my low progesterone suggested that I wasn't able to ovulate by myself.

I would discuss progesterone treatment with your dr, I have progesterone suppositories (to take from the day I get a positive pregnancy test) but for now my fertility dr has prescribed me HCG injections to help my body produce more progesterone on it's own, which is working, albeit slowly. There's a few ways of going about it.
