Simple as that - the month you got pregnant what (if anything) did you do differently?
Feel like I’ve tried everything so I’m open to any ideas, foods, supplements, ovulation test brands, exercise etc

I’m a healthy weight, 31 non smoker with regular 28 day cycles like clockwork. I do suspect I have a shorter luteal phase though. DH slightly older but the same - all tests done on both sides with no issues, Hycosy showed no blocks etc. CD2 for me and I really would love for these next 2 cycles to bring us some luck before we explore IVF in the new year..

@Flowers07 I'm in no way an expert because I only started tracking BBT this month and have just got bfp haha but get yourself a digital thermometer that gives 2 decimal places, download the fertility friend app. Take your temp every morning before you've got out of bed as soon as you wake up and record it. Your temp will be lower before you ovulate then will confirm you've ovulated when you record three consecutive higher temperatures.

So I used opk's from around day 8 (one a day to start with then 2 a day from day 11 when the line started to get darker, got darkest line on day 15 and 16) then compared with BBT which confirms when ovulation has happened (for me temp went up from day 17 onwards so I ovulated on day 16).

Combine all that with checking cervical mucus throughout the month and I think you can be fairly sure if your ovulation date which gives you the best possible chances of getting sperm to meet egg!

Hope that's helped a bit, like I say I'm far from an expert!

I was using BBT for some time before we decided to try for baby so the app knew my cycles so I knew when I was going to ovulate. Only DTD once the day before ovulation.
I did do the seed cycling, Brazil nuts every day and glass of pomegranate juice the month I got pregnant! Could all be just a coincidence but I’m on month 3 of trying for baby number 2 now and I’m going to try the seed cycling & pomegranate juice next month and hope for the best!

Is anyone who was following along also in the TWW?
thanks everyone for the advice/comments
few things I’ve done differently:

  • Taking Maca Root daily
  • Started BBT testing (although still not got it down 100%!)
  • First session of acupuncture 2 days before ovulation, another this weekend
  • Taking Inositol

Hopefully something in here works, will report back to you all 😊

We used a ferti-Lily. Probably just a fluke but after 12 months TTC that was the only thing we did different m. Good luck

@over30sclub
when did you have your HyCosy?
I had one in September which showed no blocks, and I had it after reading it can increase success rates for 3 cycles afterwards ( one failed IVF round earlier in the year, and it was the one test I hadn’t had)
And, I found out I’m pregnant a few days ago!

I think it may be because of that. After 3 years, and no pregnancy , that’s the only thing that was different for me.

Wotwotwotwotwot · 24/11/2023 20:46

Clomid, Fertility doctor said no point as I was ovulating fine but the first month I took it I got pregnant with DS after 23 months of trying. He's now 8 and currently dancing around the kitchen avoiding bedtime 😍

@over30sclub yes, I'd had symptoms but tests came back negative. Did low carb for a year before cycle 5 and conceived. Then had more tests and found out my immune system was fighting the conception so had steroids for cycle 7 and 9 which were successful. Finally diagnosed when my twins were 5 as one of them started to have symptoms. I'm sero negative coeliac, had genetic test and biopsies to confirm diagnosis.

@MissSmiley Hope you dont mind me asking but did you suffer any miscarriages before the successful pregnancy while taking the steroudd. If so, at what stage?
Thank you.

MissSmiley · 24/11/2023 23:05

@Longbarn5 hi I don't mind you asking it was a long time ago, I got pregnant from my second ivf but had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, I had no idea about the immune problems then.

Where are you with the whole thing?

Almondsupreme · 24/11/2023 23:10

Acupuncture
And if you have the money, Ovusense for BBT tracking. You insert it like a tampon before sleeping and it does the temp for you
I also got progesterone cream on Amazon

over30sclub · 25/11/2023 08:34

Great info again all - thanks for responding, making notes for the next cycle!
@Almondsupreme havent heard of ovusense I’ll definitely check it out as BBT is driving me crazy 😊

@whomoon thanks I had my Hycosy in July I was feeling really positive about that helping but unfortunately it didn’t work for me - I’ve heard lots of positive stories though for anyone else following I still think it was worth doing x

@MissSmiley I quite recently lost my first pregnancy to a missed miscarriage diagnosed at exactly 12 weeks. Embryo was six weeks. I am celiac but I found out this five years ago and keep to a very strict GF diet. We are going to try again and pray. If we experience the same thing again we will go for tests.

MissSmiley · 25/11/2023 19:02

@Longbarn5 I'm really sorry to hear that, I guess it's still an auto immune disease. I had a set of blood tests called the Chicago tests but that was nearly twenty years ago. They found immune issues.

Thank you. I will wait and see what occurs next time. Might have been anything but I am suspicious x

Orgasms.

Trying not to think and obsess about it seemed to work for me
My first pregnancy I was ttc for about 4 months which felt like years at the time ( looking back now obviously it's a very short time compared to some ) , I was obsessing with it reading every day about it , using ovulation sticks , trying special Vitamins and diets not eating and drinking this that and the other. I started thinking it was never going to happen and believing I had to wait to we were trying for a year before I could go to the drs, I wrote the dates in my phone when the year would be up so I stopped obsessing and fell pregnant straight away.
Next pregnancy wasn't on purpose but ended up being a chemical pregnancy, the month after got pregnant again and now ds2 is 7 months with this one I didn't think about it at all
