Panicking about faint lines - reassurance please

Hi ladies, I'm 4+4 after a miscarriage in September. I got a very faint positive on Sunday at 10dpo and the lines haven't really got any darker since. Yesterday I got a 1-2 on a clear blue digital but super faint line on a boots test. Same this morning with fmu. Maybe they're getting fainter but it's very hard to say as the old ones darken a bit with time don't they.

I fell in a Google/Mumsnet hole yesterday and I know everyone is different and I need to step away from the tests but, well, we don't always do what we know we 'should' do we!

I'm looking for positive similar stories please (please don't reply if you had a similar experience then a chemical. I know too well that might be what's happening) I want somewhere I can come to read hopeful stuff in the hope it'll help me stop googling.

I'm 37 with no live births and want this so bad, it's hard not to be neurotic. Especially after a recent miscarriage.

I don't think there's any reason to be concerned. Tests usually only show meaningful progression about 3 days apart, and you do really need to use the same brand each time to be able to compare.

The other good news is you are still so early, it sounds like you must be 14DPO today, so from a pregnancy pov thats only 4w exactly absed on ovulation which is really the key (not 4+4 which I'm guessing is off your cyce start date). Getting any kind of positive is really all your looking for at this stage, and the fact it's clear enough for a digital is also really encouraging.

I'd encourage you to put the tests down, a positive is a positive. If you really can't resist testing, try to leave at least 48h (but better 72) between each test, use FMU each time and the same brand test.

In summary to your ultimate question though, yes lots of successful pregnancies start with slow to progress lines like you have described. The yreally start to pick up around the 5 week mark.

Thank you, I know you're right. Just need to get the anxious brain to actually listen! Really appreciate your reply ❤️
