Hi,

Starting using ovulation tests for the first time this month since we have been TTC for a while. Was previously just tracking my cycle calendar.

Could anyone please tell me what on earth is going on with these ovulation tests? (see below). According to the cycle calendar the LH surge should have been around day 15 or 16? But it seems like it's all over the place and gets higher but never peaks/surges.

Any helpful comments welcome. Thank you.

Hi, how long are your cycles usually?

by looking at those I wouldn’t say you have ovulated yet, myself personally I tend to ovulate later in my cycle but depends on the individual.

premom is a good app to read the levels of the hormones. Also when are you testing as it can make a difference. If you happen to have PCOS can be difficult to track ovulation as well.

i’ll attach my chart for reference but it can vary between people, out of the times I’ve tracked myself I’ve ovulated on cd24, cd19 and now cd17 so it can vary. I’d keep testing throughout your cycle especially if its the first time. My first time doing opks I did every single day although normally not needed to see what my body is doing and also my prediction of ovulation was about cd15 and it was way off and only on cd24 but if I had stopped testing I would have missed it.
