Just wanted to say good luck with conceiving Nella. Glad they found your tubes were clear. I had lap and dye 9 years ago and they discovered damaged tubes and told me I would NEVER conceive naturally. Went on to have DD1 in 2000 via IVF and then conceived DD2 naturally and she was born September 2007! Just wanted to give you hope! So sorry to read that you lost your lovely baby girl. I truly hope you find yourself holding a baby in your arms very soon.

I haven't had any experience of clomid but my friend has, she conceived the same month she started to take it.

thank you very much for your words, i'm a very positive person, always have been, even though the loss of my baby put me through hell, but i'm not giving up. for me the next step is clomid, just hope this will work, cause i deserve a baby.
glad to hear that you became a mother, even though they said you wouldn't conceive naturally, that's good news and makes me real happy!
all the best, and i'll be on here from now on telling you all my experiences that hopefully will come soon.

I too tried to be positive about conceiving as I thought it was better to have good vibes rather than bad, guess it worked! While I understand how it feels to struggle to conceive, I have no idea how it feels to lose a LO and I admire you for staying positive throughout whilst your heart must be breaking.

Please post and let us know how you get on, I will keep a watch on the thread. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

i love being on here, never thought there were so many women with the same problems as me, it helps alot talking to others who have had, similar problems to you, it makes you feel like your not alone.
you keep those fingers crossed mate!!!

I will!

It is surprising how common "infertility" is, isn't it?

I can remember the torment every time AF would come, I would be convinced that each month I would be PG and once I was told I had a "problem" I actually relaxed because I knew it was never going to happen naturally.

10 years later I was late on my period and didn't even click as never in a month of Sundays would we have thought I could have conceived naturally as DH has a low sperm count as well! Just goes to show, never give up hope.

well we've been through alot with hubby, tests, scans etc, everything seemed ok, they decided to do a lap and dye, hubby didn't want me to, cause he said there wasn't no need, but as i'm very stubborn, i decided to, and honestly i'm happy that i did, cause i now know that there isn't something wrong, we've just got to relax, but it isn't easy.
i'm 35 and i want to get a move on before it's too late, and if i need medical help, well why not?

I fell pregnant around 2/3 weeks after having a lap and dye. either that or they implanted an egg at the same time. I still have my suspicions.

Hope you have some good news soon. If you have a look through the concption topic you will see there are threads on "Clomid" they may be quite helpful for you to read through.

nella73 · 12/03/2008 13:28

thank you peggy, you were very lucky to fall pregnant so quickly!!!i had a look this morning through some threads on clomid, and there are loads of positive stories, i'm hoping to join that positive list!!

I also got pregnant a month after lap and dye, (after TTC for 4 years) it can increase the chances for several months after it - so make the most of the next couple of months and good luck.

nella73 · 12/03/2008 15:15

yes, they told me that after lap and dye it's easier to get pregnant, fingers crossed, and thanks!!

Has anyone had the Dye without the Lap? HSG? I've gotta make an appointment if and when I finally get AF. I've been told it's very painful. Also I'm a little worried it'll bugger up my TTC chances as obviously you not meant to have dye shot through your tubes!

AttilaTheMeerkat · 16/03/2008 11:18

Hi Fruitloop,

Re your questions:-

"Has anyone had the Dye without the Lap? HSG?"

Me!!.

"I've gotta make an appointment if and when I finally get AF. I've been told it's very painful".

Tsk, it can feela bit strange but its not very painful!. Particularly if its done slowly and with a degree of care.

"I'm a little worried it'll bugger up my TTC chances as obviously you not meant to have dye shot through your tubes!"

A teaspoonful of dye is inserted. I can assure you it will not bugger up your ttc chances. A HSG is a very useful test to have done - its a tubal x-ray. It gives information not easily accessible by other methods. Deformities INSIDE the tube can only be seen on x-ray.

Do bring your own sanitary protection along with you as that dye does come out afterwards. Also take a couple of painkillers beforehand.

Sorry if this comes across as a bit rushed but am going out v soon.

HTH

Attila x
