Not ovulating - anything i can do?

I don't know if anyone has any experience or advice.

I have found out I don't ovulate due to
BBT not rising ever.
No positive OPKS
Day 21 test negative.

So my gynae (went private) through work believes I need ovulation help to concieve.

Unfortunately on NHS there is a 20 month wait in my area and I won't get referred until my BMI is 30 and at moment it's 32.

So the question is what can I do to spur on ovulation naturally if anything?

i'm in a conscious cycle of testing OPKS, BBT, only to face disappointment has another cycle passes.

I intend on going private in January as i know the mental toll could be heavy and I want to just relax, lose a bit of weight and enjoy festivities before continuing.

I saw that a lady on here had bought Clomid from an online pharmacy. This is what the GP will often give to kick start the ovulation…might be worth looking into 😊

I gave infolic alpha a go - it worked for me (and it's not prescription so no need for dodgy online pharmacy). As PP has said Dr will probably prescribe you clomid, but be wary of buying online from an unknown source.

Please dont buy clomid online, especially if you have a high BMI. You are at much higher risk of complications. In any case, letrozole is much more effective for higher BMIs.

I have PCOS. First baby was a letrozole conception under the fertility clinic. For my second child, my BMI was 33 so fertility wanted me to lose some weight. I did the Michael Mosley Fast800 diet (i bought the £80 annual app rather than the books), lost 12kg in 12weeks and conceived naturally for the first time in 5yrs of TTC.

Take inositol, lose some weight, stop OPK testing and just have sex every 2-3days to take off the pressure and you'll be in a much better place come the new year to go private. But hopefully a bit of weight loss and you'll get your BFP before then! 😊 Good luck with your journey!

Maisie Hill’s book period power is really good. TTC aside, ovulation is important for health so you want to get to the bottom of why you aren’t cycling. Have you been to the GP for these initial tests and have they tested for PCOS? Fsh, LH etc? I have irregular ovulation and just finished an anovulatory bleed. It sucks doesn’t it.

I honestly think losing weight could help you ovulate. So before my son I was overweight with a BMI of 27 and I had ivf to conceive. I ovulated very irregularly. We tried letrozole before ivf. I have diagnosed PCOS.
Since having him my bmi is 23. I'm a lot more active and my periods are much more regular than they ever have been in my life and I am ovulating and actually had an early miscarriage this month (not great obviously but first ever natural conception).
I would ask about going on metformin or the equivalent would be myo inositol and it can help with insulin resistance and restore ovulation.
I know it's not easy losing weight and I was one of those where I didn't think it wouldn't make a difference if I lost weight but it really did. X

I've been seeing a lot that Maca Root is almost like a natural Clomid. I've seen a lot of women have success taking Maca Root to assist ovulation. I use Concieve Plus Ovulation Support supplements and these are what regulated my cycle and lead to me falling pregnant (first month using them) when trying for my first.

I had this and was give Clomid. Feel pregnant on my 2nd round. The side effect (if you call it that) is multiple births.

Thank you! I will have a look! Fingers crossed it will help me too!

Have far to much health anxiety to order off a random pharmacy.

It really does suck! I went private through work health cover and she thinks i might have endo... and advised me to go through fertility first and have a laparoscopy after! But i agree i wasn't filled with hope!

sorry to hear about your miscarriage! It's awful isn't it! ahh that's so promising to hear that you managed to naturally fix it yourself. I will continue with the ever continuing challenge of loosing weight.
