High prolactin levels

Hi all, does anyone have experience of high prolactin levels?
Since TTC #2, my cycles have been very irregular and either not ovulated or have ovulated late I.e cycle day 21 ish

All cycles have had a 7-8 day luteal phase

I have also been leaking breast milk in my luteal phase (I've never breastfed or had this issue when I was on the pill)

I am wondering if I have a prolactin level issue

Anyoone got any experience?

I had high prolactin levels. I didn't symptoms, but it came up when I was having tests to begin IVF (although our conception issues were male factor, so who knows if I could have conceived on my side). It turned out to be a benign tumor on my pituitary gland. I took cabergoline and had no further treatment, as it hasn't kept growing.

I don't know if I have high prolactin I gave birth may 27 2023 I lost the baby 3 days later I use one drug to stop milk production my period came back August 1 and it's has been irregular 31-34 days range but since May if I press my nipple tiny milk will since come out

@mrsmesx i know it’s been a while since your original post, do you have any update on tests/pregnancy?

Hi! Yes I was put on Cabergoline and within 2 months my LP was back to a normal 13 days, and I am now 9 weeks pregnant with twins!

@mrsmesx ah congratulations!! We’ve been TTC for 11 months so I’ve just done some blood tests and prolactin came back high at 686.

My progesterone also came back high for the follicular phase.

Did you find it easy going to the doctors?

Congrats I hope you have a great pregnancy and delivery. I have had to do repeat bloods again as though my prolactin went down it was still too high around 800, hopefully its gone down more this time. Ive not been given anything as yet theyre just monitoring my levels but im honestly getting a bit fed up and wished rhey would just give me something to lower it
