Reassurance that this is normal?

Hello! I had a mmc in February this year, started trying again in July and just got my period last night so I'm not on to cycle 4. I had a chemical last month so I was hopeful this month would be it, so felt extra disappointed.

It doesn't help that there are 5 people i know pregnant at the moment and 4 of them got pregnant straight away. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that it's normal to take several months and it doesn't mean it won't happen eventually?

Im using the syringe and pot method and need to track ovulation so unfortunately can't just relax and let it happen as people keep saying to me!

I also had a loss in Feb. We started trying again beginning of June and are still waiting. It's normal and unfortunately some of us just have to wait longer than others. You'll have your baby eventually. I understand it's so frustrating xx

yes, for many it does take longer and that's very normal. The fact you got pregnant to start with is a positive thing (and i say that as someone who also had a miscarriage recently). You're not more likely to have another miscarriage than someone who hasn't. So much is just chance and luck! Keep focused on the rest of your life, make plans with friends, keep busy, and it will happen when it happens.

Thank you for your replies, it's comforting to read. I feel like such an anomaly amongst my friends. I'm 31 but I have low egg reserve which was picked up a while ago through investigations for something else, and even though I ovulate every month and my cycles are still regular I just worry especially having had a miscarriage

I had a miscarriage in November 2020. We tried straight away for a baby. I had a chemical pregnancy in February 2021. I got pregnant two months later in April - my beautiful baby girl was born in January 2022.

Maybe get some blood work done? I had iron deficiency after mc (confirmed after my chemical) and I started to take some strong prescribed iron medication. I had an other blood test done in April, which confirmed it was all ok- I got pregnant that month.
