Hi all
thought I’d come on here because we have been trying to convince baby no 2 for a year now but no luck. I conceived my first very quickly and after giving birth i gained weight and my periods became irregular. They would come but my cycles were like 50 days long and period length was 12-15 days. I believe i haven’t ovulated since but my cycles went back to 30 days two months ago and this month my period is late by 3/4 days and I’m not pregnant. i have taken like ten tests 🙃
I was also diagnosed with pcos early this year and told the only way to conceive was to loose weight which I’ve been trying to do.
I’m just really worried my period will disappear as my body doesn’t ovulate… just feel really defeated in regards to both the PCOS and ttc.
any tips? The doctors have no solution except to loose weight which is fair enough And I’m really trying now.

Lots of online support for PCOS but I would start with a supplement called inositol. Brands like MyOva, Ovasitol, Inofolic Alpha. Keep carbs and sugars on the lower side but don't cut, lots of leafy greens, gentle exercise. Good luck 🤞🏻

Thank you!! Didn’t mention i am taking inositol too and have been for the past 6 months. It has definitely helped my PCOS symptoms just not ovulation yet.

also the doctor prescribed me metformin which i took for three month’s regularly but then stopped, i think maybe i should start again

thank you for your response!!

Metformin and inositol do a similar job, inositol in a much gentler way. I personally really struggled with metformin.
I would also try and pin point ovulation with something like OvuSense. Ovulation tests aren't always accurate for women with PCOS. I hate that you've been sent away to lose weight as for some, it makes no difference and you still need additional help!

Thank you for the advice!!
yes, i dont enjoy taking the metformin, i can handle the upset tummy, the main side effects i get are fatigue, bad headache and feelinf nauseous - those side effects dont help near the end of my cycle when i mix them with pregnancy symptoms 🥲
yeh i think ovulation tests aren’t accurate i dont get a dark dark line, just around the time im meant to ovulate it gets darker than before. It’s really frustrating because i then just presume I’m not ovulating at all.
the fertility specialist i saw through the NHS said if i loose weight in the next six months then she will see about ovulation induction. I need to have a BMI of under 30 currently mine is 34. So i guess all i can do is try to loose the weight and try the vitamins.
