Hiya ladies.. first time I came on this site today.

I'd like to pick your brains and experiences if I may please?

After a 103 days cycle in between periods.. it was concluded that I had an annovulatory cycle. AF/Period was light/med flow for 3 days. Finally got my normal AF/Period 27 days later(albeit very heavily). I did ovulate that cycle as I temp. Since then.. Im now a week late, went on honeymoon and forgot to bring my Themrometer but confident that I did ovulate based on my CM signs as well as O pains and AF/Period was to start last week, but instead I spotted for 5 days instead of full red flow.

I've since done 4 PG tests which we all -ve

I've made an appointment with Doctor but that's in 2 weeks time...

What are your thoughts regarding my situation? No taken any meds or anything like that but did start new job...

Hi,

How long have you been ttc?.

Temp charting and such other methods are of little to no use if the menstrual cycle is consistently irregular in nature. Temp charts in such circumstances are particularly difficult to interpret. It is also possible to have a rise in temp in the second half of the cycle when an egg has not been shed (not enough progesterone).

Ovulation is not an exact science and a woman can ovulate earlier, later or not at all in any given cycle so such indications can be wrong.

Spotting between periods should be mentioned to ascertain the underlying cause, often it is not serious but it should be mentioned to the GP.

Irregular periods are often caused by underlying hormonal imbalances (in this regard thyroid problems or a condition called polycystic ovaries are common culprits) so it is wise to get this looked at sooner rather than later. I would also see if you can get to see the GP sooner than in two weeks time.

Thanks Attila,

I had a scan last week that came back that everything internally is fine.. No PCOS or fibroids etc found. Womb shape is good and ovaries looking well. Lining was a little thing for me to do my period the following day so it could well be possible that I o'd late if at all...

Will see if there's a canx at the GP's... thank u and will update u soon...
