So antagonist is also 'short' is that correct ? And is to avoid ohss.

Is it started on day one of period ?
So here's my situation. We were on clomid and then received our offer for nhs ivf. In the letter they told us we can't have unprotected sex after accepting the offer. Consents have been finalised and sent off to them today.
I'm currently Day 1 of my period.
If I'm not due to start until first day of next period , then why can't we try naturally and use our last course of clomid this month ?
I'm tempted to do this . I hate the thought of wasting an entire month. We did have a chemical 8 cycles ago so not entirely impossible.
The only reason I'm hesitant is cause they said not to and I see some people on here saying they had injections on day 21 of cycle to supress the ovaries. Is that done on this protocol?

Can't answer on the unprotected sex but short protocol is usually for women with low amh or who don't respond well, it last 4 weeks from start to pregnancy test I had my first injection day 3 because my period started on a Saturday, long protocol is usually when they shut the ovaries down short goes with your natural cycle x

I would ask them the reason if you can. I did short antagonist protocol 3 times and in all cases didn't start taking anything or having scans until the day after my period had started.
They may have just given you really standard consent forms that aren't tailored at all to the treatment you are actually due to have?
Incidentally my clinic did short protocols as standard for everyone- my doctor told me long was outdated, although I know lots of other clinics do long protocols and do recommend short for women with lower ovarian reserve
Wishing you a positive outcome
