Low LH surge - possible to get pregnant

miamiamia869 · 06/08/2023 18:25

I have been trying for quite a while. Decoded to track ovulation this month and it looks like my surge is super low. Does anyone else have this or fallen pregnant with low LH levels. I'm starting to feel like I have a fertility problem. Thanks

Sorry TTC hasn't happened for you yet. It looks like you haven't had your surge yet. How long are your cycles? Have you tracked before.

Are you taking the tests at the same time of day?

this is my first time. I had all the usual Ovulation symptoms around that time and now nothing so it does coincide. I have been doing them roughly the same time maybe a couple hours difference and once a fair bit later. I am usually a little irregular and this is my first time tracking yes. I am going to continue testing. Thanks

This is only a week or so's worth of tests; so it could be that ovulation didn't occur then - either your body geared up for it and it didn't happen, or it's not the right window. It's also not enough tests for the app to work out what is "peak" for you - some women peak with a high number, some with a lower one. Mine tends to be 1.6, but a friend of mine peaks at 0.4 - and the app now highlights that as her peak, as it knows her benchmarks.

Keep testing. Try and keep the lighting on the tests consistent, as that'll help you compare accurately.

thank you - I will try this with the lighting and keep testing at the same time ect for the rest of this cycle and see and the same again next month

thanks

I don't know how much you know about cycles so apologies if you already know all this. But the second phase of most women's cycles (post ovulation) is relatively consistent. So if your cycles are irregular then the timing of your ovulation will vary, possibly quite a bit. Some women do temping with a body thermometer which is meant to be very accurate but I have avoided this myself as I thought I'd get too stressed. For now, I would just keep going with the tests and see what happens. Although it may not help this month, when you get your period you will be able to work back and see when you might have ovulated.

I used the digitals but I'm not sure they are always accurate as I definitely had a couple of peaks on them that weren't backed up by blood tests (I was found IVF).

Best of luck x

OP I’d also split your times of testing up, your doing 2 tests within the same hour. If you can try move your second one to the evening on the day then you also have less chance of missing your peak :)
