Light periods since d&c

i had a d&c in May. Was almost 13 weeks. I’m so worried as my periods seem so much lighter since. I’ve always had heavy periods. Got first “period” 28 days later and was really light, more like spotting and started off dark but then did go to red but only needed a panty liner. Next period came 27 days later and was light again, the same but didn’t start off with dark. Following period was light too like spotting and more pink and seemed almost diluted if that makes sense. I had my lining checked last month at it was only 5.4mm at day 16. I’m so so worried about Ashermans. I saw dr lower last week on day 4 of this cycle and he scanned and said I seem to have a normal uterine cavity and that I would come back on 7th aug to check mid cycle lining. Has anyone else had this and did it resolve on its own. I also haven’t had any pmt before my periods where I always used to get this. I’m so so worried the surgery has wrecked my womb. I’ve had 3 pregnancies in the last 10 months but only had d&c for this last one and my periods are so not right. Thanks in advance x

Hi ladies
to update, my boobs feel sore (and have done from when I think I ovulated so not because of conception) which is different for me. Next Monday will be 4 weeks since coil removal so I’ll expect a bleed next week. I’m not certain if I ovulated this month but think so, sore boobs indicate my hormones are doing something? I hadn’t had sore boobs at all since May when I developed Ashermans so I’m hoping this is also a good sign scarring is gone? I just don’t know what to think. As the finding out gets closer I get a mixture of excited and frightened incase it’s bad news. I’ve spent hours and hours researching asherman success rates but I guess it’s case by case. I desperately want to have a healthy womb that will be able to support a pregnancy and grow a lining that will be thick enough to conceive. Have been very teary today with it all. Holding on to hope x

Our end was exhausting with 4 miscarriages - but after my surgeries (I had 2) with Lower my subsequent pregnancies were my success stories!

Here's to your success story! Everything crossed for you x

Congratulations from another sufferer. Hope it all goes well

Thank you so much, I have no idea if scarring has returned as I’ve fallen first cycle, but I’m trying to stay hopeful. I’ve had 3 mornings of positive tests and with my last chemical pregnancy the line was gone by day 3 of testing. Contacting mr lowers office today xx

Good luck.
Mr Lower said that if there are still small scars, sometimes a growing pregnancy / uterus is actually a way to get rid of those scars.

Tryingsohardalways · 20/10/2023 07:47

@Hopefulhoney6 thank you x I have scan booked for 7th November with the hospital but think I will try and have one with me lower too.

@InNeedOfSleepNow did you have any issues with your cervix and placenta in either pregnancy? X

@Tryingsohardalways hi wondering if you can give me some advice. How did mr lower diagnose the ashermans? I had a saline scan with him on day 5 and he was happy everything looked fine but I am convinced something is wrong due to my light periods post d&c. I noticed in your first scan it looked ok was this via saline? Thanks
