you might be waiting anything from a month to 3 maybe? depends on your nhs trust. did your gp surgery do any blood tests on you?
if not, you will need a blood test on day 21 to determine progesterone levels (to see if you've ovulated) and dh will probably have to have a sperm test. your consultant will also ask you lots of questions about yours and dh's general health, sex life, family history etc.
if blood test is ok and dh's superswimmer's are doing their job, then you might be referred for a scan to see if there's anything obvious up with your tubes/ovaries. s/he may ask you to monitor things for a while (charting or temp tests, cervical mucus etc).
we were in your shoes exactly a year ago, so ask away if there's anything else. good luck x

oh forgot to say - they'll also test for any obvious infections with a swab and blood tests and maybe a urine test (if they haven't done so already)

Thanks moomin!
Yes I have had all blood tests for fertility at mt GPs and they are all normal including day21 progesterone.

Dhs swimmers have also been tested at GPs and were slightly reduced in mobility.

I have been charting for 9 months out of the year.

So it will just be history taking then on the 1st appointmnet?

quite probably, unless they do a swab for infections. if dh's sperm were a bit dodgy (sorry, don't mean that in a bad way, but hopefully ykwim!) they may ask for another sample and then go from here, depending on the results and whether they think his result is significant.
it may be that your age and his reduced mobility sperm combined is the problem and that's one that i think is fairly straightforward to tackle, but you'd need to speak to someone who has direct exp of this.
you might find it useful to write down lots of questions and take them along to the appt in case you forget or they don't cover what you want to know.
