Light periods

I’m looking for some hope and advice. I have been of BC now for 2 years my periods came back straight away but they are very very light. I am regular and never miss a month. I get a 2/3 days of light spotting. There is red blood when I go to the toilet and wipe (sorry TMI) but I don’t seem to need a pad. I use to have very heavy periods. I’m now 35 and do understand periods can naturally change. I have had hormones checked and lining checked which was 9mm so was told everything is normal. I feel like this is a major reason why I can’t get pregnant. Look for anyone else's experience and stories.

Hi, OP

My periods were 2 days post 1st pregnancy. Currently pregnant with no2. If you are sporting but not filling a pad l think that would not be considered a period. Have you spoken to the doctor about this ?

Hi @Hopingforbabynumber1

I am in the exact same position as you except that I spot for several days of the month lost ovulation. It's often hard for me to distinguish between spotting and my period because like you, I never need a pad or tampon.

My bloods are all "normal" (but the lower side of normal) and every other fertility test has been clear but we have been trying for over 20 months so I know something is not right.

This month, I am going to be taking letrozole (for ovulation), Fematab (for estrogen) and Cyclogest (for progesterone). Fertility specialist said it's worth trying it all to support the entire cycle as a whole. I don't know what the outcome will be but it might be worth you speaking to your doctor about similar options?

Best of luck!

Edit: that should say POST ovulation, not lost!
