How long is your LH peak?

Hello :)
I recently had a laparoscopy and had some endometriosis removed and some cysts drilled.

For 3 cycles post surgery I have had peak OPK tests with very strong lines for 2 or 2.5 days. Previously, my LH peak was brief, maybe half a day.

Wondering how long you all experience peak OPKs for?

🙏🙏🙏

I think mine is more like your pre-surgery pattern. It's high either side but the peak reading is just once. This time I got my peak 8pm one evening and it was dropping by the next morning. Think everyone is very different though!

@River30 I used to only get a peak for half a day, in fact I'd quite often miss it entirely and would just have to go off the opks getting darker then lighter (plus temperature charting). However this cycle I had a Hycosy procedure done and I got 2 days of strong positive peak opks.
I wonder if having invasive treatment done down there can change your cycle a bit? I'm hoping it means I'm more fertile this month..

Hi @SnookyPook yes that's exactly what mine was like. I'm seeing a fertility specialist do I'll have to ask him when I see him next. Thanks for sharing :)

@vitahelp that's so interesting.... I mean that has certainly been the case for me as I had never had 2 days of peak OPKs before the surgery. They did check the patency of my tubes during the laparoscopy (that's a hycosy right?). I don't think the high LH levels are necessary a sign of better fertility, although they do say you have increased fertility after those procedures so fingers crossed that this is your cycle 🤞

@river Yes that's right the Hycosy is where they use a liquid to check patency of tubes. I know, I think I'm clutching at straws a bit with that theory, but definitely more hopeful for the next few cycles after having the procedure.
