Hi @merderforlife I've used both. They are both user friendly. its about what kind of information you want and when.
The CB advance 4 days one gives you a better indication for the fertile window. but the stripes (premom/mommed/easy@home) one helps you pinpoint better the LH surge, even to the timing of the day (depending on how often you test).
The way I found more useful: I start testing on the stripe ones (first started on mommed and then tried premom when those run out and put it in premom app) around CD6/7 and also CB at the same time. When I get a flashy smiley on the CB (fertile window is here or going to start soon), I start testing twice a day for both. When CB gives a static smiley (means you're going to ovulate in the next 48 hours), I stopped testing with CB but continued with the stripes and it tells you your LH surge. for those two days, I tested through out the day and I'm able to monitor better my peak and then the dip of LH. then once it starts to lower, i tested only in the morning to confirm the surge had happened.
mommed stripe tests comes with small plastic cups so i found it easier to do two tests at once. whether you do two tests will come down what information you want, preference and costs. This is probably me going overkill as I wanted to maximise on my chances. but either type of OPK works well on its own.
both test require you to pee/(dip) on the stick. the CB one you have to wait 5 minutes and it will tell you the result. the stripe you wait 5 minutes or until the background is stark white and then you have to input it in the app (so there is an extra step but very easy to do). you can still visibly see whether the line on the stripe is darker, the app just gives you better indication.
I hope that gives you a better overview of the two types and hasn't confused you. others may have different views and it will come down to what works best for each person. This is what I found works for me.
lastly, baby dust to the both of you!
