Getting pregnant after miscarriage

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.

So in February I found out I had a missed miscarriage. I should have been almost 12 weeks. I had to have a MVA due to things taking too long to happen naturally. It was horrible. And I found out from genetics it was a baby boy which made it more heartbreaking and too real. It was my 3rd miscarriage in this past year. I fell pregnant last time, immediately after a miscarriage. I have had blood tests since and everything is fine. The baby was OK, no chromosomal issues etc. The Dr has advised progesterone and aspirin for when I do fall pregnant again.
I'm just wondering, for people in a similar situation, how long did it take you to conceive?
I'm taking all the vitamins and trying to be as healthy as possible. I thought after how quickly I conceived last time, it would be similar this time round but I've had 3 cycles now and nothing.
I read somewhere that the MVA can weaken the lining for a while and make it difficult, is this true?
If anyone has been in a similar situation and gone on to have a successful pregnancy, please let me know. Also any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks so much 😊

Also to note, I do have 2 children already, 9 and 7 years old. I'm 35 so a little older now but as the last year shows, I can conceive, it's keeping them that is the issue for me.

Thanks 😊

Sending love and hugs to you. Not personal experience but I know so many people who have had miscarriages and gone on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies and babies. Miscarriage can mess with your cycle a bit, so you may have one or two anovulatory cycles (cycles without ovulation) depending on how your body dealt with the miscarriage. It's almost impossible to tell person to person but getting pregnant quickly doesn't mean it will always happen that way. (Currently on our sixth cycle for #2, while #1 only took one cycle.)

Sorry for your loss. I'm 40 andmiscarried in Sept at 12 weeks, and have finally found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant, so don't listen too much to people who say they fell quickly as everyone is different, and putting pressure on the situation doesn't help, believe me, we were preoccupied with moving house so I wasn't temping or ovulation tracking and voila! Good luck x

Thank you both for replying and your kind words.

I know I should try put it from my mind, I'm one that believes everything happens for a reason and what's for you won't go by you so I just need to try remember that myself! It's just hard sometimes. And I'm really impatient at the best of times lol!
Williams3001 I really hope you get your BFP and baby #2 soon ♥️
Matildahoney huge congratulations, how lovely. I'll try take a leaf out of your book going forward 😊

Love and hugs to you both xx

Thank you, it is really hard, I get it completely. Ours will be our first, I think the biggest thing is miscarriage isn't talked about enough, so many people when you speak about it have. Everyone is different! It'll happen when it's meant to!

So sorry for your loss OP 🩵

I had a mmc in May last year (next week will be the one year anniversary from seeing no heartbeat on the scan). I fell ovulated 3 weeks later on the 16th June and fell pregnant that cycle, baby is now 10 weeks old. I started tracking on opk’s as soon as I stopped bleeding from the mmc. 33 at the time of the miscarriage and 34 when I had my baby so not too dissimilar to you.

Best of luck to you x
