Just looking for some real opinions, not the platitudes of someone trying to sell me something.

What realistically are my chances of pregnancy considering the following circumstances. Please be brutally honest, I need some clarity on this before we decide what to do.

I'm 41, I'll be 42 in six months. When I was 23, I had an abortion at 10 weeks, so I know I was able to get pregnant in the past. I've been with DH for 12 years, he's 46, we've never used any contraception, apart from the pull-out method, pregnancy was never high on our agenda but we wouldn't have minded if it did happen, IYSWIM.

The Jan before covid, my DH noticed a lump in my belly, said it felt "bumpy". I went for private scans because I was petrified it was some sort of cancer. Turned out to be fibroids, absolutely MASSIVE ones. My digestion had been off for years, so guessing they had been there a while.

Due to lockdowns, I didn't get any treatment until last summer, when I had a very painful procedure to block the blood supply and allow them to die off. I'm still passing the occasional clott (sorry TMI), and can still feel a little bump in my belly, but nothing compared to what was there. Periods are a bit irregular in terms of flow and how long they last, some are only three days, others six or seven.

DH has had an SA, and the results were on the low side of acceptable, except for progressive motility, which was 26 percent, my understanding is that it "has" to be at least 32 percent for pregnancy to occur naturally.

Clinic has recommended ICSI.

Are we wasting out money?

Realistically, what are our chances of concieving naturally?

Forgot to add, they were intramural fibroids.
