Hi All!
I think I ovulated on Wednesday and since then I've been having a dull ache on my right side.
Has anyone experienced this before?

Are you still having the pain ?
Its possible the pain could be from ovulation. When you get a positive test your not actually releasing an egg that moment in time. That's just the hormone surging. You'll release an egg within the next 24-36 on average but it can take upto 3 days to actually pop the egg out. Another possibility is that you didn't ovulate successfully and your body is trying to go again. On rare occasions you can release two eggs. Like a double ovulation. It happens.

I also have been experiencing ovary pain outside of ovulation , although I do ovulate irregularly and am currently on fertility medication.

I'f your still having the pain continue I'd ring rhe gp for some advice. If it's subsided within a few days then it's likely linked to ovulation, weather its delayed or you calculated it wrong. Its not always easy to predict ovulation, even with the help with opks

Thank you for replying.

Since I've been ttc, I am super aware of everything that occurs in my body, hoping each month is the month I get a BFP!

But now I'm not feeling so hopeful - I may have misjudged/missed ovulation 😞 sighs

@Enn1234 do you track your basal body temperature? It should rise following release of the egg

Hi @MK85 I've never tracked. Don't know how to track bbt either - by advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

You can purchase them anywhere. I use it orally as it's more convenient. Some women take vaginal temps 🙉 you need a thermometers with 2 decimal places.
For example you don't want a thermometer that will tell you your temp is say 36.2 , you want one with 2 decimal places that will be exact and give a reading of 36.23 . I purchased mine on amazon , I think it was around £4 something. The one I have is by the brand baby mad and it was the cheapest ones on there. You take your temp as soon as you wake up in the morning, before you get out of bed. Obviously, bbt is not a guarantee that you've ovulated, only a blood test can tell you that but the theory is your temp rises after you've ovulated, due to the hormones . Women swear by using bbt. It really has correlated with my positive ovulation tests. I'll attach my chart for this month below. I've been able to predict most months a day or so before I'm going to get a positive ovulation test aswell as just before a period is about to start, which is very helpful for someone like me with irregular cycles

Thank you for this info. :)

Will bbt be affected if sleep is disturbed?

They say you need to have at least 3 hours undisturbed sleep but to be honest that's impossible for me as I wake several times to go bathroom and as my wakening hour has now changed and i have to get up earlier at 7 .30 i was expectin bbt not to be accurate for me considering my last toilet visit is usually after 5am, on occasion its been 45 mins to an hour before alarm but my chart is behaving exactly as expected
