I’m in my early thirties and me and my partner decided to try for a baby so I can off the pill in November, now in May we are still TTC. All of my friends fell pregnant really easy and now I’m starting to worry. I haven’t got anyone to talk to about this and it’s really starting to get me down. I track ovulation and BBT monthly and ovulate with all the signs each month - hopefully someone has been in my shoes or is in the same boat and we can support each other
thanks for reading x

Oh that’s interesting, did you have a hycosy during that time too? That must have been such a rollercoaster - they really don’t prepare you for this do they!!

I had irregular periods and have a very subtle sign on my bloods for PCOS but no ultrasound features so they think I’m borderline. We’ve been trying since the beginning of this year “actively”, but I’ve always been a bit anxious about this stuff since finding out I have this adenomyoma last year, so we’ve done a lot of stuff privately in terms of investigations. My husband has a low sperm concentration and has been doing all of the lifestyle stuff, as well as having seen a urologist who couldn’t find anything to treat, so with us both having things I’ve felt really worried about conceiving.

Trying to let this go, relax, and next step will be IVF privately if we haven’t conceived by next year xx

Yes I had a hycosy and hyteroscopy all under GA, which were clear.

Are you ovulation tracking if you have irregular cycles?

It's worth pursuing the NHS route after a year if you haven't already? We found it quite quick after the initial wait for GP appointments and it probably depends on your area/consultant but we were able to mix and match NHS and private so we had NHS appointments but had the surgery privately as it was a few weeks wait instead of many many months.

Also it's differing opinions as I had a private scan with a different gynaecologist who said my ovaries looked close together on a scan which can be a sign of endo but he didn't think it was. Then the second gynaecologist I saw through the NHS did the same scan and made the same observation but said she was 99% sure it was endo and recommended surgery... So frustrating as it felt like so much time wasted!

Yes we are tracking!! With LH testing and BBT and I am ovulating every month by the looks of things, timing it with ovulation too!

Yeah I think we will start the NHS route too, see what comes up! Still holding out hope that it’s less than a year so we can absolutely still conceive, but we will see how it goes! Honestly when will it end 😅 xx

Although it doesn't feel like it, you are still early days and up to a year is normal... Hopefully better luck for you in the next few months 😊
