Clearblue Ovulation Test - Question

Hi everyone,

I was on day 9 of my cycle yesterday and decided to start testing. Usually I ovulate around day 15.

I got a clear positive on an Internet cheapie, but a negative on my clearblue wand. Its a wand I have used before.

Is it possible that the wand doesn't pick up ovulation if you start using it too late, that means on the day you ovulate?

I ran a fever a few days ago, can that cause early ovulation?

See attached picture

Thanks for any advice xx

Hi @hotpotlover

I have no experience with the clear blue wand, but I use internet cheapie OPKs every month.

As the test line is lighter than the control line on the internet cheapie, I wouldn't call that a positive... I think you need to keep testing every day :)

All the best on your TTC journey

I don't think your internet cheapie is positive. It's rising but test line should be as dark as the control line you might get a positive later today or tomorrow morning. Download the premom app if you don't have it. It's free and you take a pic of your test and it tells you which one is your peak x

The first time that you use a clearblue digital, there is always a circle. It detects your base line from your urine the first time you use it, then when it detects oestrogen rising it will give you a flashing smiley, and a solid smiley when it sees LH

Your cheap test doesn't look positive to me. The line needs to be darker than the control line. (Control line is next to the green bit) so I don't think that you've ovulated yet. Keep testing, and good luck!

The cheapie isn’t a positive. You always have some levels of LH in your body so there Will always be a line on the tests. The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line to be a positive
