Hi ladies.

Long story short, me and my husband have been properly trying (opks, bbt) since October 2021. We got pregnant in Feb 2022, but that ended in an early loss, and nothing since. Neither of us have children already, i'm 38 DH is 32. I'm 11dpo today and yet another BFN when i tested this morning, so i'm going to bite the bullet on Monday and ring the doctors. I was just wondering if anyone can give some advice on what happens after that? Do i book an appointment for both of us and we both go, what happens at that forst appointment? I just can't carry on month after month, negative after negative without knowing if there is something going on that can be helped or treated.

Thanks xx

Your story is similar to mine my Gp did bloods and checked my AMH after all of that she referred us to a fertility clinic I'm 36 so don't really have time to be wasting she understood that , our appointment is next month but we will have test done before that so they have information on the day , they are doing an internal ultrasound for me and more bloods and AMH again and my partner is having a semen analysis.

@CarbieBarbie Thanks for replying. That's quite quick then if your appointment is next month. I feel the same about not having the time to beat around the bush. I'm actually feeling a lot less stressed now i have made the decision to book an appointment. X

Hi there, quite quick for me too. After a year trying post m/c (mid thirties) GP referred me and checked bloods too. Also referred me for an internal ultrasound done then and repeated recently as a small cyst was found. Since then I have heard back from the fertility clinic at the hospital and recently done bloods again, semen analysis and the hycosy procedure too. My advice is even if things look all normal they may not be so you need to be referred.
