Help! LH and cycle confusion, what is my body doing?!!

Hello! Can anyone shed any light on my cycle please as I’m quite confused, I’m trying to conceive for the first time and I’m 32. My cycle lengths are usually 26 days but can fluctuate by a few days here and there.

The premom app has calculated that my ovulation date was on CD7 but I’m not really sure why as that seems so early…

Also I’ve been tracking my bbt and haven’t had any significant rises and my LH rose a little but has since dropped again. So maybe I missed my peak if it was really short?

I know it’s still early in my cycle (currently on CD13 so I may well ovulate in the next couple of days) but I’m just quite confused about what my body is doing! I’ve attached some photos of my chart, calendar and LH tests, including the darkest one I got on CD10.

Outside of this app stuff my GP ordered some blood tests for me, I had my FSH and LH tested on CD5 of this cycle and my levels were 6.1 U/L for FSH and 5.7 U/L for LH. My Oestradiol was 368 pmol/L. I’m due another blood test on CD21 to check my progesterone too.

Any help or advice would be super appreciated, thank you so so much!

LH peaks can be very short and sharp.

Your temperature won't rise until after you have ovulated and that may take a day or two . If your LH peak was day 10, you may have ovulated on day 11 or 12. It looks on day 13 as though your temp may be heading up but you aren't going to know until at least a few more days have passed.

If you keep charting over a few months you will get a better idea of how your body works- eg if you ovulate right after your LH surge or it takes a bit longer, how long it takes for your temp to rise after ovulation. But that is something that comes after months - I wouldn't suggest scrutinising a single chart on a daily basis because it generally just gets kind of confusing!
