Clearblue ovulation tests

Hi everyone

So, hubby and I have been ttc our second child for 8 months now with no joy so far. It took us 6 months to conceive when trying for our first child. I have regular 28 day cycles and have always assumed that I was ovulating around cd14 as I get a lot of ewcm for about 5/6 days between cd9 and cd14.

Anyway, as we have been trying for 8 months now we decided to give ovulation tests a go for the first time. I have heard bad things about the internet cheapies so I invested in the clearblue decent ones. It looks as though I was bang on with what I assumed my body was doing; I got a flashing smiley face (indicating fertile window) on cd10,11,12 & 13. Yesterday evening I was sat watching tv and I felt a pinching feeling low down on my right side (assumed this must be my ovary releasing the egg) and this morning cd14 I got my fixed/non-flashing smiley face which indicates my most fertile 48 hour window is now. Hubby and I have bd every day since cd8 and today he ‘came for for lunch’.

I must say, that although the clearblue tests are expensive, they do take out the guesswork and anxiety of knowing if and when you actually are ovulating. I’m 40 this year so just knowing for sure that I am ovulating is a relief in itself. For anyone on the fence about investing in there I would go for it as they obviously work as the ovulation ‘symptoms’ that I get each month all coincided with the test results.

Good luck to everyone ttc. Here’s hoping this month will be our month 😘🍀

I used the easy@home strips and the premom app which takes out all the guesswork and I’d highly recommend incase you wanted a cheaper option for the future. I’ve read a lot of posts on here of people having problems with the CB digis. Fingers crossed for you

I've started using the CB tests at home as I couldn't get any decent results from the internet cheapies- had 6 days of flashing smiley to then a static one yesterday morning! Definitely clearer and a lot less stressful than the cheap strips I had before. Also helped me notice symptoms around ovulation time as it measures 2 hormones and I am irregular. Fingers crossed for you!! x
