Consecutive chemicals

Hi all

Feeling a bit deflated. I had a chemical pregnancy back in December and I’ve now had another one in the immediate following cycle.

I am aware that I’m lucky that I’ve had two catch on when we’ve only just started trying but I can’t help but feel worried that they’ve both ended this way - is it simply bad luck? Do I need to give my body a chance to recover for a cycle before trying again? Are my eggs rotten?!

I have one little boy who is almost three and that was a complete (happy) surprise so I’ve never experienced the TTC journey before and I don’t know what’s normal and what’s not.

I’ve just turned 33, surely my eggs can’t be completely useless already?!

Any advice gratefully received xx

I had a couple of chemicals when TTC number two and I took low dose aspirin after reading on here. BFP I think was the cycle but one after the chemicals. However I was still BF and cut that back further at the same time so can't say for sure if it was the aspirin, interestingly I was told to stay on it during pregnancy anyway (age-related, I think!)

I'm not a medic or even up to date on my reading but at the time on balance I decided to give a low dose of aspirin a go for a while, I'm otherwise healthy etc so thought it was worth a try!

I had a chemical in October and another in November. Then I got a third bfp in a row in December and am now 11.5ish weeks pregnant. My 12-14 weeks scan is next week and I’m hoping everything is ok. It was all good at 9 weeks when I had a private scan with a very strong heartbeat so fingers crossed.

Chemicals are very very common sadly. A lot of people don’t realise they’ve even had one as their period either starts on time still or just up to a week late so unless you test first you wouldn’t know. Most people who have chemicals go on to have a baby.
