Chemical after 18DPO?

I'm here again...:(

I have had back to back chemical pregnancy's for multiple months now (i don't think people would believe me if I said how many!)

Anyway, this month I really thought it was IT! My lines were the darkest they've been and once I got to 16DPO I thought I would test for 1 more day to get that elusive 'dye stealer' and then stop.
But I feel since then that the tests have gotten lighter.

I'm sort of shocked...I thought that by getting this far past my missed period (due 14DPO) and the darkness of the lines meant that this would be a sticky baby.

Just here to rant really as the TTC world is such a small bubble and no one I know is within it. My husband is amazing but he doesn't fully comprehend the emotional roller coaster and wants to just keep trying months after month.

Also looking for glimmers of hope...has anyone else had tests stop darkening after 16DPO and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

Pregnancy tests are not designed for this. Please get some bloods done instead.

I had a lot of chemicals in a row and it transpired that my lining wasn’t thick enough to sustain a pregnancy so I was prescribed Oestogen and Aspirin from ovulation and Progesterone from 2 dpo.

You need to talk to a professional and figure out what’s going on with you.

A lot of things can affect the darkness of a line, pregnancy tests aren’t accurate for this sort of thing. You need to have blood tests to be sure. They look like completely fine lines to me.

Oh I have tortured myself SO MUCH in relation to line progression . . .

I know how hard it is, @ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson - I've had chemicals and it's heartbreaking. I'm not going to tell you to step away from the tests because if you're anything like me you won't, however I'd encourage you to buy wondfo tests from Amazon (if you MUST keep testing!) as I'm finding quality deterioration in FRERs. They used to be great, but I had so many inconsistent results with my current pregnancy whereas the wondfos I did alongside them (yes, I am doubly crazy) were much clearer and showed a steadier progression.

Good luck Flowers

@Twoinapod @Pollywoddles
Thank you for suggesting blood tests. I will ring and make an appointment today. I guess I've been a bit hesitant as I've assumed that I'll be told it's due to my age (I'm 41) and my egg quality is low. Which it probably is!
But I will at least feel proactive if I get blood tests rather than waiting in limbo

@RedPandaFluff thank you for understanding. Will power is non existent when it comes to TTC!
I'll have a look at those tests you suggest today x

I was 42. I still had miscarriages but at least they stuck a bit longer than if I hadn’t looked for help. I also read ‘It Starts with the Egg’ and did a load of stuff to try improve my egg quality.

I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby 10 months ago just before my 43rd birthday.

@Pollywoddles oh congratulations!
That definitely helps to keep me motivated. I've got blood tests booked for Wednesday.

I'm also feeling more at ease regarding my line progression

@ohblahdeeohblahdahlifegoeson
Hi OP, do you mind me asking for an update? My FRER lines look almost identical to this and I'm 18dpo now.

You obviously don’t have an issue getting pregnant it’s just not sticking. I’d recommend asking for progesterone suppositories. I had one MC and one chemical, next time I got pregnant I got progesterone and carried to term. It might not have been the progesterone but it might have been.

maybe it won’t come to that though (I hope not) and your lines are being affected by time of day/urine concentration etc.
