Hi all 😊

Just looking for a bit if advice. Me and my partner have decided to TTC so first cycle trying. I have been using the flo app to track my cycle and input the last few months cycles too. It had said I was due to ovulate on Wed this week however inbetween that I ordered the easy@home ovulation strips to track my lh levels.

They didn't arrive until late today however I have done 2 tests tonight and as its my first time using them am I reading this right that I'm due to ovulate? I know it's only 1 day and 2 tests to go by so not much info. I downloaded the premom app just before the tests arrived and that did originally say Wednesday as my ovulation day but since uploading these results it's now saying tomorrow.

Hey! I used to use these and short answer is yes- you are at your peak so go have sex right now!

I did however find that ovulation strips in general were a bit all over the place for me: never seemed to line up with my dates or the discharge I was seeing. I ended up using an Ovusense ovulation tracker after 6 months using strips and we got pregnant first go! About to try for number 2 and have ordered another one, I swear by them!

good luck!

Hahaha! We dtd this morning and then will more than like dtd again tomorrow morning. As its first cycle and I've literally just started the strips I will see how it goes and then maybe try the ovulation tracker.

I hope all goes well with trying for number 2!

The easy@home strips worked for me and ovulation was always day after my peak (confirmed by bloods at GP twice). I got pregnant 3 times using them (2 early miscarriages/CPs) and am now pregnant so they definitely worked right for me. I always dtd every other day from around CD8/9 though as I have a fast surge. Then dtd peak day and day after (ovulation day). Although I did miss ovulation day the last cycle but got pregnant anyway.

As you peaked yesterday I would say you’re going to ovulate today, overnight or early tomorrow morning as it happens 12-36 hours after peak (usually around 24 hours for most people).

@Ginevere
Hi! I just read about you using ovusense, I don't know much about it but the lh strips always mess me about and make it all more stressful for me. Is ovusense just posh more reliable temping?? X

Ginevere · 28/01/2023 11:33

@1greentea yes it is! I used the strips/glow for 6 months and nothing happened so I bought Ovusense, it’s like a little rubber sperm shaped thing you sleep in and it tracks your core temperature: I mainly bought it because I wasn’t getting on with using a basal thermometer, but when I used it the first month it turns out the strips and glow app were both a little out. I ended up getting pregnant first go! It’s a little pricey but totally worth it for me as it took all the guess work out, I bought it straight away for number 2. Defo wait for a discount code tho as I got 25% off first time and 20% this time, there always seems to be some sort of deal so don’t pay full price. You also have to pay £20 a month for a subscription which is a pain but I’m hoping for quick results like the first one haha

Thanks everyone. I've done a couple more tracks today so yesterday would've definitely been my peak I think.

As its now sitting low does that mean ovulation has happened now then or could still happen later today/early tomorrow?

The tests won’t tell you when you’ve ovulated you would have to BBT for that. Some people’s LH drops down super quick some get a peak for a few days after. It makes no difference. It’s generally 12-36 hours after the first positive/peak

allgoodthings84 · 28/01/2023 15:57

Even BBT doesn’t tell you until 3 days after ovulation as it confirms after 3 days of temp rises. If you’ve got time to dtd again today then I would in case
