Mine is 9 days long.

Is that indicative of a hormonal problem?

Will the NHS do anything to treat this?

How could I treat it? Agnus Castus (does it work?)

Traditional Chinese Medicine?

I don't feel like my hormones have got back to normal following a miscarriage in June. Or perhaps my hormones haven't been right since I stopped b/f my dd and maybe that caused my miscarriages this year.

I am pretty sure the docotrs will take no notice of me as I have only ( had 2 miscarriages and I have only had trouble conceiving the passed 6 months.

But say I got a year down the line and still no success ttc.... how would they even treat a hormonal problem?

Any advice would be welcome

Tootle you have to click on 'contact another talker' at the top of the page and there is a form to fill in, put my name in the section where it says 'name of person you want to contact' and they will email me your email address.

Hope this helps1 Grin

tootle just tried to CAT you again! you have to go to your members profile page and change it because you are down as NOT accepting contacts

tootle · 06/12/2004 12:35

I didn't realise I had it set as not accepting messages. I'll go and change it now.

Thanks for being patient.

may i just say, seeing as reflexology has been mentioned, that regular treatments can certainly regulate hormone production and settle imbalances, and so lengthen luteal phases... makes the whole system far less hostile to conception.

i do specialise in maternity refexology and i just think, its worth trying but you have to have maybe 4 - 6 treatments to see any benefit.

tootle · 07/12/2004 13:55

Thanks Rosies. I will bear it in mind. How long do you envisage it would take to regulate hormones using reflexology?

thats a tricky one to answer, tootle, knowing nothing about your personal details. i'd like to see improvement within a couple of months.

thats why it is always best to try 4 - 6 treatments, as you can usually tell if you are benefitting or not...

hello all...

I have been snooping on this conversation as I'm not sure, but suspect I might have a short luteal phase, or hormones slightly skewiff anyway. Being impatient I have gone out and bought Agnus Castus, eve primrose oil, B&C complex (for vitb6) (and zinc for hubby). Now I want to make sure I have got the right things and am taking them at the right time! I didn't get magnesium but I think the b&c has got some in it although it doesn't say how much.
If anyone is still watching this post I would love to have some further advice & chat....

Thank you
