Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has any positive or negative experiences of the above two clinics. I would like to start IVF and not sure which one to try. For context, am 43, low AMH, High FSH.

Hi, I have no personal experiences with clinics; however, if you ask them about their success rates in patients of same age you are and same condition, how much treatment will cost and how long it takes, you will be able to compare and decide which one is better for you. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have no experience of these two clinics but have been doing my own research in the north west and came across this national website that has a lot of clinics on there and their statistics, may be helpful to draw comparisons - www.hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic/clinic-search/

Search for these specific ones or others in your area, click on the clinic’s names and you can find reviews and success statistics

hope this helps

@TTC79 good luck...just to say you may have more luck posting this on the infertility boards.

Create is a particular natural/mild approach - some people swear by it but others think it doesn't work and it's best to max out the drugs.

FWIW I had IVF aged 44 and it seems to have worked out. I had normal AMH which is always low if you're my age 44. My FSH was fine. We did embryo banking, testing and a whole lot of other stuff. It wasn't easy but we got there.

If you want to do regular IVF you will need to lower your FSH first as otherwise the drugs won't work. I'm not sure how Create approach this with their more natural approach.

Anyway best of luck and I really hope it works out for you. X

TTC79 · 12/01/2023 19:44

Thanks all for your responses. I will check it all out first.

Just to jump in here, I think you can lower your FSH by reducing stress but I'm not sure.

TTC79 gosh, i am constantly stressed! but thank you for reminding something so obvious hence so difficult to do...

FSH fluctuates month to month so you could find that if you test again another month it would be fine. It's not that important for natural conception (although it is an indicator that you are getting older fertility-wise). It only matters for IVF because it makes the drugs less effective as they contain the same hormone.

My previous clinic would usually suggest trying a different month first. There are natural remedies to lowering FSH. I can never quite remember what foods it is but I can look it up for you if you like. It may be wheatgrass.

If you have low testosterone and DHEA levels (you'd have to be tested to check this) then you can take a DHEA supplement which can improve those and also lowers your FSH but it's not a good thing to take unless those levels are low.

Stress is more related to prolactin but always a good idea to feel as relaxed as possible. Having said that, no one doing IVF has ever been relaxed. My 2 successful cycles I was hugely stressed - so don't worry about it too much or that becomes a vicious circle. I always say "don't worry about the worry!"

Xxx
