IVF and TSH thyroid

I’m about to start IVF treatment due to male factor infertility only. All bloods and scans for me have come back normal and having treatment privately. Clinic has said I don’t have to have my thyroid tested but if I do have it tested my TSH level needs to be below 2.5 and if it was above they wouldn’t be able to start treatment. I’m 30, have a BMI of 21 and no symptoms to suggest any issue with thyroid but I’m concerned that if it comes back 2.5-4 so still considered normal, they wouldn’t start my treatment. Should I have my thyroid tested or should I go ahead with the IVF and see if it works? My baseline scan was done mid cycle that showed normal and my progesterone result on day 21 was 83nmol and classed as very good. Any help appreciated

Get tested, above 2.5 and below 0.02 are massive risk factors. If your gp says no, try medichecks, i did get my own blood collected as the girl who does my filler is a registered nurse. But I think it's £20 extra to get a registered nurse to do it at a local private clinic. You also need to make sure your T4 is within range.
My TSH was above 100 when I was first diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, it took 12 months to get it below 2.5, I started to take pre pregnancy supplements and it's thrown all my numbers out, dr can't work out if it's the supplements doing good... or masking it.
Worth getting tested because if you are borderline, the moment you fall pregnant you can then be prescribed thyroxine to steady your thyroid.
