Prenatal vitamins

I've been trying to get pregnant for what feels like an eternity. But nothing seems to happen. I had one child 16 years ago from previous relationship, I'm 36 now. Talking to various people, they've all come up with suggestions, some completely crazy and some doable. One of the doable ones is prenatal vitamins. On the subject of vitamins, I'd also been reading up on the benefits of magnesium and decided that may help me in other areas of life. So I found a magnesium supplement on amazon "for women" which also contains folic acid. Here . I thought that would be handy. But I'm not sure that the amount is enough and whether I'd be best using seperate supplements to achieve the right dosage.

I'm considering seeing the doctors possibly next week. But from previous experience they seem to have a "one appointment, one query" thing going on so I don't know how much help they'll be. I know I need to get the ball rolling but I'm terrified they'll just tell me I'm too old now, soz bye. Or I'm infertile or riddled with cancer (my health anxiety is pretty bad!)

So that was a minor rant, but the question is, is that supplement pointless? Should I just use the usual pregnacare and add a magnesium supplement on the side?
Thanks :)

I spoke to my GP and he told me to take pre conception vitamins. Have taken pregnacare before and no issues, however some people had irregular periods with it.
A few months later I changed to conceive plus and a couple of months later I was pregnant (could I've been a coincidence).
Also my GP told me that stress is the best contraceptive, and to go on a holiday 🤣🤣

I will try conceive plus then! Nobody has recommended a particular one, so I'll try anything!

Can my GP prescribe a holiday? Can I get one free on the NHS?!
I've got a week off work now but I think I'm PMSing anyway. I live in a state of constant stress unfortunately. Maybe if they could put me in a coma and my husband could just come "visit" that'd work?🤣

I work for the NHS and it's impossible not to be stressed! Maybe they have a couple of beds on icu for us to be in that TTC coma 🤣🤣🤣

I tried conceive plus ovulation support and got pregnant that cycle. My cycles were previously all over the place and I noticed the difference straight away! I've also heard great things about the conceive plus fertility support.

I had also bought pre-seed lube to try as I wasn't noticing much EWCM and heard great things - didn't get round to using it but have seen it recommended
