Help..don’t seem to be ovulating and GP reluctant to refer

Hi, I am wondering if anybody can help me/recommend herbal meds or give me success stories .

I have not used contraception since March 2020 and not had a positive. I am 41 and have 2 grown up boys to a previous marriage however my now husband is younger than me and has no children and we would love a family. I have always wanted a third child.

I had my bloods taken in June 2021 and everything was ‘normal’, hubby is going for semen analysis but can’t get an appt until Dec. I’m just hoping that in the meantime anybody can recommend some herbal medicine to help me ovulate as it seems I’m not based on my LH strips. They are so faint and today there is not even a second line on CD19. I have been taking folic acid, Co-q10, Vitamin B6 and have just this week introduced Maca Root in tablet form. I’m desperately at my wits end and my GP has said there is a very slim chance of me being referred for fertility treatment due to my age.

Thanks for reading of you got this far!

Do you have a healthy bmi? Sometimes if you're overweight it can help to lose weight.

No I’m not overweight but I’m sure a bit of exercise wouldn’t harm x

@Khanny I wrote a post on here about them before I think they're great. Here's my LH chart before I started using them (up and down spikes) and after a couple of weeks of using them. Made a huge difference!

@NalaNana Fingers crossed they are something that works me also. How many times a day do you take them?

You take 4 a day and can either take them throughout the day, or 2 in the morning and 2 at night.

I took 2 in the morning and 2 at night because I found it easier to remember, I kept them on my bedside table

Could you buy a natural cycles subscription (I think 30-50 a year) and comes with basal thermometer. Start tracking your temperature each day to spot ovulation and understand your cycle better.

@Blueberrywitch i have just started trying to temp this month. Amazon delivered my thermometer with a low battery so it’s not working properly, just my luck x

Recommend inositol too! Also a multivitamin (without vitamin A)! I'd also ask to see your actual blood results.

At my GP the receptionists sorted results into piles of abnormal and normal and the GP only reviewed abnormal ones. They missed my PCOS because although my FSH and LH levels were both within the normal range, my LH was double my FSH and they should be more of a 1:1 ratio, it turned out it was a sign of PCOS which I was then diagnosed with after some more tests. A gynaecologist at a completely different procedure picked it up and my GPs had completely missed it. After that I was put on metformin and on it ovulate regularly (before I had not ovulated in over a year!)

I'm currently taking conceive plus ovulation support and conceive plus fertility support vitamins! I don't ovulate till around CD 30 every month, so I'm going to start soy isoflavones next month, which I took when conceiving DD they brought ovulation forward about a week xx
