Chemical Pregnancies - I'm looking for success stories after them please

I'm 37, after suffering a MMC and MC a few years ago I am now trying with a new partner. After just four months TTC I found out I was pregnant last Sunday at 9DPO. I couldn't believe it but we have had him tested and he's very fertile - I've been ovulating every month after losing two stone specifically

Now this morning it seems it's chemical, I have no bleeding (yet) had a ton of pregnancy symptoms and I'm completely devastated. I am looking for success stories after CP please to give me a little hope that I will one day become a mum 🥺💔

I thought I'd update this post.

Sunday I was extremely emotional going in for the blood tests. It had taken its toll on me at that point. I got the results Monday morning, HCG 25 so it had gone down by 1 and they were wanting me in for an internal scan that afternoon (yesterday) because they were concerned it could be ectopic.

I had my scan and she said she couldn't see it in my womb, looked at my ovaries but oddly couldn't see my left one (didn't seem too concerned. When I realised she couldn't see it in my womb I panicked that it was in my tube but she said they can't see tubes on the scan and if it wasn't big enough - they wouldn't see it in there either which she didn't. She then said at this moment in time it's a PUL pregnancy (pregnancy unknown location) although she didn't seem too concerned that it was ectopic as I have no pain or bleeding. She did say that she thinks it will resolve itself and I will lose the pregnancy which at this point - I was relieved at as I really didn't want surgery.

She then sent me around to the ward to wait for a doctor but after three and a half hours in a room on my own I had to tell them I needed to leave. The scan had left me with a few cramps and I was just mentally drained. The doctor rang at 9pm that night to tell me they wanted to do a blood test in a week to see my levels then.

At lunchtime today I started to bleed, I'd had tiny tiny signs with more cramps (not severe) so I called and they said keep the blood tests in place for Monday. If the bleeding gets so heavy I'm concerned to go to A&E but it should just be like a heavy period.

It's a sad time for us of course but if it wasn't going to be a viable pregnancy (I just KNEW by the tests being so faint it wasn't right) then I'm glad it's ended now so we can move forwards. If there's anything else that happens I'll update again.

Hi @MrsAlexander just reading your posts this morning as going through similar. Sorry to hear it sounds like a loss. That feeling in the pit of your stomach isn't easy is it?
Good luck on the rest of your TTC journey.

Sorry to read you are in a similar position @justsayso I try to take the positives everywhere I can. I got pregnant quickly (in my opinion) and thankfully this time they have said they will give me medication for the next pregnancy (at this point I am unsure exactly) but it gives me hope. Sending hugs x

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I understand the relief, at least you know, but it's so sad. Hopefully next time it's a sticky one. Keeping everything crossed for you xx
