Hey everyone,

I woke up early hours with overwhelming feeling to do a pregnancy test I'm currently 9dpo. Done a clear blue digital (without weeks indicator) test it come up pregnant.

I've rushed to asda to get more tests they only had clear blue weeks indicator - managed do tiniest wee to test it in and to my shock it's come up not pregnant.

Now my head is well and truly fried.. could it just be that it was only about an hour after my first wee and it wasn't concentrated enough? Or can you get false positives on these.

I agree with pp that there must have been hcg to measure, so fingers crossed it gets stronger.
It's tricky to be patient with Mother Nature!

In my experience it's likely to either be a chemical or you've just not had a long enough hold to build up the hcg over night this time. I've had multiple chemicals but I've also had a really positive experience where I had the faintest of lines on a FRER and a positive on a CB digital weeks indicator. In fact my lines on my FRER tests barely changed that first week when I did another one, still very faint, so it can happen where they are faint on a FRER but a digital comes up positive. So my advice from having experienced both is to wait another 24hrs and try another digital but get the same one as the first positive because some of the digital tests vary in how much HCG they need in order to pick up a positive. 🤞🏻 you get a positive too

Thankyou everyone, can't help but feel deflated but hoping for the best 🤞

It's going to be a bit of a long week, but keep us posted. It's so hard, isn't it.
Everything crossed 🤞

So odd the digital came back positive because they’re way less sensitive than first response! 9dpo is also so early for a positive, let alone a digital positive! Nothing to do but wait!! Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻

The first one OP used is an Ultra Early digital which has a sensitivity of 10mlU and the second digi has a sensitivity of 25mlU which explains the pregnant and not pregnant result.

I found FRERs to be utter garbage with my last pregnancy. I was still getting negative FRERs when my Ultra Early digi was positive and Clear Blue sticks were giving me solid blue lines.

Was the clear blue digital that came back positive in date still? I picked up some digital pregnancy tests which were reduced due to being at the end of their shelf life. I got false positives off them.

Ks1994 · 27/09/2022 11:47

Yes all in date I checked that

Don't give up hope yet, all could be clearer when your period is due.

Hey thought I'd give an update, unfortunately wasn't meant to be and bleeding started last Tuesday. Devastated but hoping our time will come soon.

Very sorry to hear that, OP :( I hope you get your rainbow baby soon.

MrsAlexander · 04/10/2022 16:01

We were "cycle twins" as I said. My lines got fainted last Thursday so I'm expecting bleeding too. Sending my love, I've cried so much ♥️

Maireas · 04/10/2022 16:19

Sorry to hear that, but thank you for updating because I was thinking of you.
Look after yourself and fingers crossed for a positive soon 🌺

Ks1994 · 04/10/2022 17:24

So sorry to hear that @MrsAlexander . Look after yourself our time will come 🤞

Dr rang today to say my folate levels are low and need replaced this is despite taking conception vitamins. I have done some research and apparently can increase chance of early miscarriage by 50% .. so hoping il have a better chance once my levels are normal

I hope so, @Ks1994 - I was in your situation and have lovely, healthy adult DC.
