Newly pregnant - all inclusive holiday??

I have (literally) just found out I'm pregnant - just under 5 weeks. We are booked for an all inclusive holiday next week (I'll be six weeks pregnant when we fly).

OK, so I know I'm now not going to be sipping cocktails but what else do I need to know? I'm worrying about what I can / can't eat and if there's anything in particular to be careful about.

My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage so I'm bit nervous at this point!

Going to Cyprus if that helps.

NHS website has great guidance on what’s ok/not ok to eat when pregnant. I’d look on there for a comprehensive list

but off the top of my also pregnant head:

  • no charcuterie meat that isn’t cooked (salami etc)
  • no sushi/raw fish
  • meat like steaks etc well done only/not pink if you’re having lamb
  • certain fish/shell fish
  • no pate (even the vegetable/mushroom ones)
  • limit your caffeine intake (I think 1 cup of tea or coffee is ok, but I don’t ordinarily drink so not sure)

Thanks @Skiingwithgin - I read the guidance but was worried about e.g. buffet food and whether I needed to be particularly worried about anything.

Rubbish timing as I was very much looking forward to cocktails!
