Some advice on next steps

Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice as I'm not sure on the best course of action to move forwards.

Bit of background - stopped using condoms Feb 2021 and didn't track or anything, until cycle 8 where I got pregnant. I have PCOS and long cycles but not anything crazy, 35 days tops. I had a MMC at 12 weeks and an ERPC in Dec 2021. Since then it's been 8 cycles of nothing, some irregular bleeds, and I've been out on thyroid meds as have a slightly underactive thyroid (could have been the cause of MMC, but who knows).

I turned 35 in June, so it won't be 6 months of trying at that age until Dec this year, and I've had a private appointment and hysteroscopy - apparently everything is fine, and DH sperm is "very good" (he was thrilled about that of course). I spend hundreds of pounds on supplements and am also on metaformin for PCOS.

So I guess, I don't know whether I should keep trying naturally or just get help now. I'm not getting any younger, every cycle I get my AF I am destroyed, and pretty sure I have depression from the MMC. I can't enjoy life and i'm all consumed about TTC.

I haven't found NHS helpful to date, and wondering if I should bite the bullet and pay for private. But is there any point in doing ovulation drugs when I'm ovulating normally (I temp and use OPKs) and my cycles are now 30 days - I'm worried I'd be wasting money that might be better saved for IVF. Or should I try to do it on NHS? Or should I just keep trying as normal?

I have no one to talk to IRL about this as everyone has had straightforward pregnancies and kids. Any advice welcome - sorry for the essay!

Hello, I am sorry to hear you're in this predicament, its a tough choice to make. By the sounds of it you really want a child and I personally think you should listen to what you think will make you happy. Like you say, at your age time is not on your side (sorry to be blunt; i am 38 and TTC #1 so I'm even older!) Personally I try not to do things through NHS anymore, just speaking generally, as it usually takes a long time to get appointments. Maybe look at your options IVF wise. You don't want to wait too long with that, as the older you get the less chances of it working.
Good luck and baby dust to you
