This single random temperature drop is mucking things up!

Ok, so second month of BBT charting (although I'm not entirely new to it, as used FF 9 years ago when TTC my son).
This month all seemed as usual, then when I expected my temp to rise after ovulation, after a very slight rise the day before, it dropped right down. It's now risen as I thought it would, but that one low temp is totally throwing off FF in predicting my ovulation. Based on adding in future raised temps/adjusting the anomalous low temp, I could have ovulate on CD 12, 13 or 15. 12 or 13 would be great, 15 not so much! Has anyone had this odd low temp before, and do I have to accept that it means I ovulate on CD 15 instead? 😫
Any experience of this? I'm 40 (41 in 4 weeks) so I'm running out of time 😔

I've read somewhere that you can have a one day temp drop very shortly after ovulation and provided it rises again it doesn't mean you should recalculate your ovulation date. In the past I have corrected the offending temperature to something more consistent (only if I am quite certain when I actually ovulated - based on cramps/bloating etc) and add a note in FF with the actual recorded temperature in case I need to refer back to it.

I've had a bad month with charting too where I had higher than usual pre-O temps which have created a very high baseline and difficulty identifying the O date. Thankfully I did get my usual symptoms so quite sure I know when it was.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I'm hoping, as if I ignore that temp/change it to around the previous temp (the sloght rise), then it puts my O at CD13, which ties in with the positive OPK too. Keeping my fingers crossed as our timings would be much better if that's the case!
