Luteal bleeding

I have a 31 day cycle, and usually bleed lightly (spotting or perhaps slightly heavier than spotting) for the last 7 to 10 days of this - always have done. We are waiting on IVF. I’ve been prescribed some progesterone (Cyclogest suppositories) for the last 2 weeks of my cycle, but I seem to still be bleeding a similar amount despite this. This is starting to worry me; presumably this means I will still continue to bleed on IVF? Anyone any experience of this? I just worry that I will never be able to conceive.

Hi ☺️

I have just come across your message and thought I would reply ( I know it’s a while ago) but I wondered whether you got anywhere with this?

I have the same ,ttc for 4 years now. I bleed for the last 7-10 days of my cycle every time. I have had numerous tests / scans and all clear and I’m pretty confident I ovulate ( confirmed opks and temps ) I have tried 800 mg cyclogest during my luteal phase which made no difference 🙈 gynae no. 4 put me on provera ( apparently stronger progesterone ?!) and still bleeding just the same . At the end of my tether now ( whatever a tether is 😂) and I’m booked in privately to see if they can shed any light x

Hey :) about to have first transfer (fet). Blood level of progesterone was very good. Have been put on subcutaneous progesterone for the natural cycle fet (in addition to vaginal pessaries) and seems to be much less bleeding so far (though still present)…will let you know in a few weeks whether the transfer has worked. The specialists don’t seem too concerned, apparently in context of high blood progesterone level very unlikely that coming from endometrium, they think probably a polyp somewhere that they haven’t been able to visualise. It’s been happening for ten years so not worried re anything serious.

Good luck! Xxx
