Mini pill

Sorry if I’m posting in the wrong place just looking to hear from others who are/were in the same position.
im on the mini pill and really want to try for a baby this year, but I’m currently trying to get my weight down to a healthier BMI first. I’ve never used the pill before and I have endo and pcos so I’m a bit concerned that once I come off it al my symptoms will return and I’ll struggle to conceive. I already have an older dc and I’m nearing my late 30s so time is ticking.
when the time comes do I start trying immediately after coming off the pill in hope it will trigger ovulation or will I have a period first? I’m worried about my old symptoms and also not conceiving as easily as my dc so any advice or stories of your own would be appreciated so I can prepare

Can you come off the pill and use the condoms until you're ready to ttc?

Only reason I say that is I was recently on the mini pill for 3 months.... it took 3 months for my periods to come back once I stopped.

I would but I’m scared of going back to no periods or ovulation which is part of pcos and delaying it further. Sites I’ve read claim you can ovulate fairly quickly so it feels like that could be my possible chance to catch quickly. Silly I know but I’m so worried about my symptoms and messing up my hormones, I’ve been spotting for 3 days which I’ve never had before so I’d prefer to get prepared soon and come off it completely.

I stopped my mini pill (noriday) on 12th June, period started on 19th June (5 days). I am now pregnant. Complete madness and we were stunned by the speed. I would add I was always told I wouldn't have children without medical intervention and/or IVF but this is now baby number 2 for us. We had expected it to take ages

I have PCOS and came off the pill to ttc and it took almost 6 months for me to get a period, and my cycles were really long (100+ days afterwards). Not saying this will be the case for you of course but my suggestion would be to come off the pill sooner rather than later in order to see what your PCOS symptoms will be like (the pill will be masking them) and then if your periods/ovulation aren't regular you could seek fertility treatment as soon as you are ready to ttc. I don't have experience with endo, sorry, but PCOS is a very treatable condition from a fertility perspective as Clomid or Letrazole can be prescribed to help you ovulate in a regular cycle when ttc.
