So I am now officially in the dreaded TWW... anyone else just entered the most boring two weeks on earth? 🤣

Period due 5th July.... may test next week if I get implantation symptoms! Cycle 6, #1....

Whose on the same journey? X

@Wouldloveanother it helps strong ovulation because it contains linoleic acid, it helps with fertile cm sooo much! Because I have an ovulation issue, I hardly ever experience fertile cm, the first time I tried it I was like omg there's something wrong 🤣🤣 so it's been recommended to me by both doctors I have seen (private and also NHS) I take 2mg daily.

they have told me to continue taking into early pregnancy (they advised it's safe for first trimester) and then to recommence at 37 weeks to soften cervix to aid delivery. If it's something your worried about I would speak to a Doctor :) I am under a Consultant so everything I do TTC wise is always discussed with her though

LittleDoveLove · 03/07/2022 12:57

Hi @pcosandme.x I have read about evening primrose but I got a bit spooked on that as I read it isn't good to take when pregnant and didn't want to risk anything in the 2WW. How quick did you notice improvement and do you stop once ovulation confirmed or carry through? X

Wouldloveanother · 03/07/2022 13:00

Thanks I will give it a go 😊 where do you buy yours can I ask?
before DD I had ‘classic’ CM pattern, now it’s massively decreased and seems drier/stickier although there it is a bit more ewcm at ovulation - but not much of it at all.

pcosandme.x · 03/07/2022 13:26

@LittleDoveLove I was the same but once I got the reassurance from my Consultant I was fine🤞🏼 I usually keep taking it but this month I ran out so will start again on CD1. Xx

@Wouldloveanother I buy mine from Amazon, this is the one

Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg, 120 Capsules. Omega 6 90mg. 4 Months Supply amzn.eu/d/cmaP29Z

Sorry forgot to say, for me the results are instant xx

Angie2018 · 03/07/2022 14:57

I've bought the ones you suggested @pcosandme.x and will take them up to ovulation and also speak to my doctor xx

Yay sounds good @Angie2018 good luck! I also take cod liver oil capsules and CoQ10 xx

LittleDoveLove · 04/07/2022 09:30

@pcosandme.x I have ordered some solgar ones. So now I will take Together Health pregnancy multi vitamin, solgar evening primrose and life extension super uniquinol.
I was originally taking folic acid and vitamin D separately with additional vitamin C and E as I tend to get anxious about supplements now but I did take TH pre conception last time until I conceived then I took pregnacare max with the fish oil.
I won't be taking pregnacare again if I am lucky enough to conceive again. I will stick with TH or maybe just switch to folic acid and vitamin D. I am sure it's coincidence but the past two pregnancy's I've taken pregnacare max and I've miscarried early so I am a bit uneasy now with that. X

TwinkleCupcakes · 04/07/2022 09:55

Thanks for the suggestion @pcosandme.x have just ordered the same ones. Think I’m out this month BFN at 13DPO, just need AF here so we can move on. DP tested positive for covid this weekend so that’s another spanner in the works… everything I read online says not likely for the next 3 months 😭 not sure whether to carry on with the vits or just take a break now arg

pcosandme.x · 04/07/2022 10:09

@LittleDoveLove fully echo what you're saying about pregnacare, I would never put that near my body. It seems to be the 'marketed' option for anyone TTC and indeed pregnant. Nope no way lol if you read the ingredients, they are absolutely loaded with stuff. My consultant advised taking folic acid, vitamin D and the fatty acids. I also take inositol but that's because of my PCOS. Also side note, a massive red flag for me is the fact pregnacare makes your wee neon yellow!! 🚩🚩Xx

Aww I'm sorry about bfn ❤️ @TwinkleCupcakes

What is it people are saying about covid and sperm?? My hubby and I had it in March🤔🤔 Xx

TwinkleCupcakes · 04/07/2022 10:21

Thanks lovely. The general consensus is that it lowers sperm quality for up to 3 months. But trying not to get into the trap of reading too much into it atm for my head space.. Hope you weren’t too rough with it x

pcosandme.x · 04/07/2022 10:28

@TwinkleCupcakes oh wow that's interesting! I haven't fallen pregnant despite being on clomid and my hubby's SA was good so at least we can blame it on something🤣 hope that isn't the case for your DP🥰 it was a pretty much like a cold for me, I continued to WFH and I'm currently unvaccinated. Have you caught covid yet? X

TwinkleCupcakes · 04/07/2022 11:05

@pcosandme.x haha yes kinda nice to have something to blame it for, feels like something more in control that way! Yep I had delta last year and was really rough with that, DP doesn’t seem too bad this time. He has a repeat SA in 3 months so actually would be interesting to see the effect x

LittleDoveLove · 04/07/2022 12:43

@pcosandme.x yes I remember that about the wee! Together Health is all made from natural foods so no nasties and nothing synthetic and the folic acid is in folate form in case your body has that problem absorbing folic acid. I was in two minds about pregnacare max after the first mc but I won't risk it again!
I've booked to go to a fertility clinic in August for a check of everything, they will probably give different advice! I've read the it starts with the egg book too. A family member suggested it when she was given a really low % of conceiving even within ivf but she's had a baby and now got pregnant naturally! So I'm taking what she took! X

LittleDoveLove · 04/07/2022 12:46

I did read that too about the sperm quality and covid. My husband had it just after I conceived last time so hopefully be ok as was past 3 months now. I think age is a factor for us. As both 39 x

pcosandme.x · 04/07/2022 20:08

@TwinkleCupcakes hope your DP continues to feel ok🤞🏼 you'll have to keep us posted on the results xx

@LittleDoveLove I'll have to look up together health now, it sounds good!! Everyone mentions it starts with an egg, I always thought what was the point of me reading it because I have pcos but maybe I'll order it🤔 have you ever had previous investigations? Xx

LittleDoveLove · 04/07/2022 21:25

@pcosandme.x no no investigations, I got pregnant first time with my son and I've been pregnant twice since last June but have had the MCs. The private clinic I am going to will be the MC specialist. Just want to make sure everything's ok really for peace of mind. I do know MCs more common when older but I would rather bet some advice on that.
I think it starts with the egg does have advice on PCOS and what to do. I also drink filtered water and try not to eat too much packet food - Try and cook from scratch as much as possible and I've reduced my alcohol and caffeine intake right down x

pcosandme.x · 06/07/2022 16:15

AF arrived this afternoon so that's me on to my 5th round of clomid💔😢

LittleDoveLove · 12/07/2022 21:01

@pcosandme.x I've just logged back in here as on holiday. Sorry to hear this, is so rubbish isn't it, we can be July buddies if you like - I'm CD 11 currently 😊x
