Help and advice needed

Hello,

I'm just looking for advice as what I should do. I already have a 2 year old and conceived her literally the second contraception stopped. For some reason I had in my mind that's just how it worked.

Fast forward to now - we stopped any form of contraception to TTC again in June 2021. There have been a couple of months with illnesses etc when we knew nothing would happen but I'm now realising it is June again next week and we've gone 12 months with no success. I've been pretty relaxed with it all up until now but I couldn't help feel a wave of sadness when my period started this month.

I feel I might need some pointers on what I should be doing - should I be taking vitamins? I have no idea when / if I ovulate. Should I be buying those test strip things - do I use them every day??!
Do I need to book a GP appt?

We're both fit and healthy, 33 years old.

Thanks!

The first thing I would do is start tracking your cycles, and make sure you are trying at the right times - ie the days before and after you ovulate. You can use the test kits, or you can track your daily morning temperature to see when ovulation happens. If you do that for a few months and still aren't getting pregnant then I would make a gp appointment. Good luck!

Thank you! Is it possible to have frequent periods but not ovulate?
I'll start temperature checking from today

I am not too sure but you will know if you are ovulating or not based on whether your temperature shifts roughly 2 weeks before your period. You can also tell by the consistency of your cervical fluids, it will be like raw egg white just before ovulation and then change to white and sticky afterwards.
