How old is your little one Biscuit? DD is nearly 3, so keep doing the mental maths as to how old she would be when number 2 might be born. Don’t want it to be 4 years+ 😢

if it helps my age gap with my sibling is nearly 5 years and we get on really well! My parents actually said it was the perfect age gap.

Hi all, can I join?

CD11 today (or CD12, I didn’t have a heavy period this month and didn’t include the first day as I thought it was more spotting 🤷🏼‍♀️) I got my peak yesterday morning and can currently feel ovulation pain on my right side so tomorrow will be 1DPO. I’d be due around 6th Feb. TTC #2 DD is almost 3.

We DTD last night, the night before and two nights before that. Do you think that’s enough or should we DTD again tonight?

@BiscuitLover3678 @BanjoVio I'm glad I'm not the only one! I like to work out roughly when my ovulation will happen but literally just going to DTD every night (where possible) up until ovulation and see what happens.. the amount of people I know and stories of people TTC that are tracking everything and still weren't getting their BFP then stopped the tracking and relaxed a bit more then it worked is unreal! Just really trying to take that approach first (don't get me wrong I still track every single symptom I get during the TWW) these threads are a god send to get you through haha xx

@Organictangerine @BiscuitLover3678 i massively over analyse the age gap, I think that’s why I’m finding TTC #2 mentally tougher than number one! If we had conceived the first month of trying I’d be due about now so I just keep thinking what a perfect gap that would be, but I’m sure each age gap has it’s pros and cons.

I didn’t track using OPKs this month and I’m cursing because now I think I might have ovulated later than I thought and stopped DTD too soon. But we were on holiday so it was a case of just doing it when we could!

Oh absolutely, I've seen/heard the same. I know I can get stressed over things just because it's who I am, so stick-peeing and ovulation maths etc just wouldn't work for me. And I can't think of anything my DP would find more offputting than, "Oh but we HAVE to do it tonight because [insert science]..!"

I don’t talk to DH about any of this - he doesn’t even know I do OPKs, I don’t tell him when I test etc. I don’t feel emotionally I need the support yet, and to be honest I think it will help our chances if at least one of us is relaxed and not obsessing over the charting etc. That said we’ve only ttc one cycle, that may well change if we don’t get a BFP for a while!

@Charl881 i just tell myself any sibling is lovely, it doesn’t need to be your classic 2.5 year age gap - I think DD would be made up to have a sibling at any age! Probably not 16 though lol. There are a few pluses however, we won’t be dealing with 2 lots of nursery fees at once, or 2 lots of nappies if I can get my butt in gear about toilet training DD! ♥️

Just meant I’m going to obsess in private for now but may well share with him if we don’t have any luck in a few cycles time.

Not at all! I felt the same first cycle. In some ways it’s gotten easier as I’ve given up a bit 😂🥲

This will be cycle 7! Didn’t expect it to take this long. Our first child was only 1 cycle 😐

Ah that’s rubbish Biscuits! My daughter was cycle 1 as well, but my gut is telling me this one will take a little longer. I’m 30 but DH is in his 40s and is making noises about feeling his time is running out for having more kids 😐 which is fair enough really, he mentioned giving it a year so I definitely feel clock is ticking!

@BiscuitLover3678 same with me, I conceived in cycle 1 with number 1, didn't expect it to take a long time with number 2. Also doesn't help that my NCT friend and I whose toddlers are 10 days apart decided to try again for number 2 around the same time and she caught first time and is now nearly 5 months pregnant and I'm still not 🥺

Most of my NCT peers have already had number 2. I wish I had started trying just after we moved house last summer to be honest, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I have the same thing with some friends.

I feel like statistically this should be a good month for some of us at least!

I have two friends due in Sept/ Oct who both have a child younger than mine and conceived their second on the first cycle of trying… it’s so frustrating.

I’m a bit different from you guys though in that it took me 13 cycles to conceive DS so I was never expecting it to happen quickly this time around.

AF is here so on to cycle 2 💪🏻
Fertile week starts Monday with ovulation projected for next weekend.
planning to DTD the day after my period stops, CD9, CD11, CD12 and once again for luck on CD14 (usually ovulate CD12).

@Organictangerine you sound like you're a week behind me :) I'm due to ovulate this Friday apparently so will just be DTD every day this week .. Husband is not complaining 🤣.. lll be testing around 4th June unless AF makes appearance prior to then! Wishing you lots of baby dust luck xx

af finishing off today so planning on doing opks daily from tomorrow morning so I’m actually organised this month. Also hoping to DTD a lot more! Even from tonight if we can.

@BiscuitLover3678 Hi hope you're doing ok! I think I'm nearly due to ovulate (trying to avoid doing all the testing) so basing it on dates and symptoms had EWCM today my app says likely to ovulate this Friday :) sending you lots of luck this time round 😗xx

Joining you all on this thread, I had an early miscarriage last month, the pregnancy was a surprise but we came round to the idea pretty quick and was upset when we MC. Went for a scan on Sunday and was told I'm mid cycle so might have missed it for this month.

Hi all can I join? I am in cycle 1 trying to conceive my second child. Waiting for my first period since coming off the pill. Think I may have ovulated around Saturday due to some body signs although haven't done OPKs. Makes me about 4DPO but is a bit of a guess! Only managed to DTD once around that time so not feeling particularly hopeful! Good luck everyone
