IB at 5DPO and strong positive OPK

Hi, I’m new here so hoping for some advice.

First month TTC, I have PCOS which for me usually means a really long cycle and I sometimes miss AF completely. This month, managed to find my peak OPK and DTD at the right time. However started bleeding 5DPO - initially I thought AF but would have been a week and a half early, so thought maybe IB?

This morning (7DPO) I did OPK and it’s strong positive…. any ideas what on Earth is going on?! Or anyone been through something similar? It’s a minefield so any help gratefully received ☺️

Do you temp to confirm ovulation?

I have PCOS and often got multiple positive OPKs before the real thing so it could be your body tried to ovulate and failed so is trying to do so again.

OPKs also pick up the pregnancy hormone although 7DPO might be a bit early but have you tried taking a pregnancy test? If you implanted at 5DPO then I believe it takes 2 days for the pregnancy hormone to show on an early pregnancy test.

I’d assume you haven’t ovulated and the first OPK was wrong. Do you check your BBT? 5dpo is very very early for implantation - too early I would say.

Thank you for your reply. No I haven’t taken temp this month, confirmed with peak with CBFM so I’m hoping that as good as a confirmation as I’ll get of ovulation? That’s really good to know, I had thought about testing but wondered if I was too early.

Thanks you, That’s what I thought it was surely too early, but saw some other posts where people have said it’s possible… which confused me even more.
